Meh, they tried. There are some stupid things like the the Normandy just hovering in front of Harbinger with nothing happening but I can just wave that off as Plot Armor. I was really hoping that they would've added a scene or two that had some dialogue with Harbinger considering his role in ME2 and the fact that he's singled out among the Reapers so much in ME3 but then a lot of people were hoping for a lot of things.

It's better than it was so I'm content. Still not content enough to give Bioware a pass, I'm gonna be wary of their future releases from now on.

Probably because the Star-Child has no reason to lie. It's logic for the reaper cycle in the first place is so mind-numbingly stupid that the thing must be some sort of idiot-savant A.I.

None of the Reapers up to that point showed any sign of deriving joy or exultation in their mass murder. It was just a fact of life. Fish swim, birds fly, and Reapers kill people. It didn't occur to them that they could explore OTHER options. Because the A.I. controlling them was a digital rain man with tunnel vision.
There is the fact that, with the new ending, the kid straight-up says that he betrayed his original creators and forced them to become the first Reapers.

I guess you have a point, though.

No, I'm not laughing at the endings.
As I've said in other threads, I'm flabbergasted that, not only did they wrap up an ostensibly good trilogy with an awful ending, but they only made things worse with the extended cut.
So no, I don't find the ruination of one of the only decent video game trilogies particularly funny.
Damn right. I'm more than disappointed. One of my favorite video game series ended worse than I could have imagined. I don't blame people who like the ending and people who "moved on", but when you like something so much and then you have to watch it get ruined by a couple of assholes there's nothing particularly funny about it. I'm still pissed. Not at Mass Effect, or Bioware. I'm pissed at EA for rushing Bioware and at Casey Hudson for being a moron. And it baffles me how Bioware doesn't realize that the trust of old fans is one of the most important things in this industry. Especially since they sold out to EA and could be closed down at any minute if they're not careful. I don't trust Bioware anymore. And many fans feel the same. That's very dangerous for Bioware.

All 3 endings are generically 'uplifting & spiritual' bullcrap .. "We've came together and overcame the reapers.. lets ALL HUG!! FREE HUGS FOR EVERYBODY!"

Really, that's the 'real' ending of ME3? what ever...
There may be a lot to dislike about the ending, but that was one of the major themes throughout the whole trilogy. It's like watching Avatar and expecting it not to end with a "nature is good don't kill earth" message. WTF where you expecting? Did you also expect the story "The man who would be king" to end with and he stayed king?
