Personally this is the BEST Taratino movie I have ever seen, if not best movie I have ever seen. I have watched ALOT of films in my life, from your Citizen Kane to Evil Dead, to LOTR to Violent Shit 4.0.... and I must say this film is gripping in every way. The action, over the top. The Dioulge/ acting was brilliant. I am a fan of horror and fantasy rather then most westerns ( excpet awesome spaghetti westerns), but this filmm was incredible. Your opinion?

No. I didn't love it, although it is still quite good.

It was definitely missing Sally Menke, Tarantino's former editor who, sadly, passed away before Django. Without her keeping him in check, he was far too self-indulgent, leading to a far longer feeling film than it should have been. The dialogue wasn't as sharp because it wasn't cut down to the best parts of it; far more was left in, meaning the overall quality wasn't as high.

Jamie Foxx was also so dull in the lead. The supporting cast is strong, colorful, and interesting. Foxx is boring. The idea that we're essentially witnessing the horrors of slavery through his eyes doesn't work when the only reaction he has is by reaching for his gun, which he does, what, twice?

Still good, but needed a stronger lead, as well as a better editor to keep Tarantino in check.

I plan to see it in the next few days, he is my favorite director and I would suffer having a panic attack in the theatre just to support him in the box office.

Love his movies and I don't doubt I won't love this movie. I will be on the look for that editing issue however Marter, I wonder if it will be noticeable for me. I just get sucked into a movie, I tend to either be into it or not. I eat his movies up like spaghetti.

I ditched Christmas dinner to see it on X-mas day. As a big Tarantino fan, I thought it was an awesome movie. Not too goofy, not too over the top and not too serious. I'd need to see it one more time to see if it holds up to multiple viewings, but I can easily say, it's the best movie I've seen this year.....by a huge margin.

That tooth was flippin hilarious!
