Generally, I'd say yes. Some do add a fair amount of content for the price, such as Shivering Isles, whereas some are just not worth it. Case in point are multiplayer maps. I can understand if you play multiplayer a lot you will likely get hours out of them, but I still think they are too much. Call of Duty I find is the worst, because it's the only game that can get away with selling for RRP of £44.99 and charge 1200 points for 5 maps, 2 of which are old ones.

We all know what DLC is here, If you don't get out of my thread, and on the xbox it costs a fair amount to buy the game, then all the DLC (if you want the new maps and stuff)
So, riddle me this: is DLC too much or am i just being a skint student?
Its only a fair amount on xbox?

lol

No, its fine as long as its good content. i.e, shadowbroker for mass effect 2 and then the undead nightmare for rd:r

EDIT: i also think bad company 2: vietnam was really good
Was shadow broker worth it? I bought the first DLC and throughly enjoyed it but never really heard much about shadow broker so was never convinced to buy it...
i played it on the ps3 version, so i never actually payed for it, but it was a pretty long mission, and it was interesting

DLC isn't too much most of the time. I think 800MS points for an add-on pack for a game like Fallout is fair enough. However 1200MS points is way too much for a small map packs for a CoD game. Most people charge a fair amount for their products, however some overstep the mark.

I'm really just curious as to whether the Shivering Isles is worth 2400MS points.
Game of the Year editions. Fallout 3, you get 50 dollars worth of DLC and the game for 50 bucks. So basically you get the game for free. If you didn't buy the DLC as it was released, it's definitely the way to go. Dragon Age Origins has an even sillier Ultimate edition which includes a 40 dollar expansion pack. I'm sure Mass Effect 2 will have an Ultimate Pack not long after Arrival is released. I'm on the fence about whether to buy New Vegas DLC as it arrives (like I did with Mass Effect 2) or wait for a GotY pack (which I'm sure will come eventually as it's in vogue.

As for Shivering Isles, I have the game of the year pack (which sadly only includes SI and knights of the nine, not the various stronghold packs or horse armor), but it was only 40 dollars. So with a 30 dollar expansion like Shivering Isles, and a 10 dollar pack like knights of the nine, the game is free. So if you don't have either of those DLCs and want them, just pick up the Game of the Year edition, and either sell your copy of oblivion/whatever else, or give it to a friend or whatever.
