That's what I was getting at myself. I still enjoyed the game quite a bit though. But I don't think of the game much, which I suppose makes the OP relevant.Katana314 said:It wasn't really about gameplay...Hiphophippo said:Likewise almost to the dot. I still really enjoyed the game because I love the series but as a game it's just not as strong as the previous ones.Katana314 said:I'm a big fan of Ace Attorney, and whatever the word of god is, I'm happier assuming Apollo Justice didn't happen. I'm sure the case is true for plenty of other story iterations. There have even been occasions where the producers simply decide a certain version of events just didn't happen, like in Terminator.
If you're thinking of it in terms of the universe, I don't like the decision that Phoenix Wright got disbarred for being an idiot with evidence (especially since similar idiocy happened all the time in previous games) and then turned into a jackass hellbent solely on personal revenge. Also don't like that Ema went from being a cute, kind little kid to a dismissive jerk who doesn't like helping defense attorneys. Honestly, my biggest issues are that the previous characters, and many of the newly introduced characters, are just plain mean a lot of the time even when the creators didn't realize they were. Introduce the kids to their previously-unknown mother, to bring warmth to them in the realization that they have family? NOPE.AVI.
