You know what sorts of people ignore whatever canon doesn't please them? The types of people who like argue that their Yaoi and Yuri pairings are canon, you know:

Why not? The MAKERS of Devil May Cry deny the second game, oweing to how much suck and crap it was. If the Word Of God says it, I don't see the ever-loving problem here.

I'm fairly certain they finally perfected the system with C&C 2 but scrapped the idea for C&C 3 once Westwood was shut down.
