More people have consoles than gaming PCs, my computer wasn't cheap, and not everyone can afford one. Consoles being more common is why there are less PC games. There;s no console license on Steam games. As far as I know due to most new releases like Borderlands and Portal 2 cost me 45$ Canadian.

It seems the only time a game on a PC is better or equal to the console version, is when it was originally developed for PC, or utilizes the extra resources higher end PCs have to offer(Fallout: New Vegas
Not true, every game I own on PC that has a console version as well runs and plays better than the console version. Personal experience obviously.
Just for the record and clarity, this quote is out of context as those are not my words, those are the words of OP. Its understandable, considering the botched formatting I used, but that is not my sentiment at all.

WEll, the few PC games that I care about... are fantastic, regardless of what publishers think.

So if people want a quick and easy cash grab through relatively secure console, then fine. Just let me play the games I want on PC in peace.

First Epic decided to ditch the PC because of the damage piracy is doing
Epic can go fuck themselves.

They were pissing and moaning about poor Gears of War sales when PC ports that launch months (if not years) after the console version almost invariably have poor sales... that's not because of some piracy bogeyman, that's because most people interested in said games usually go with the much earlier released console version, especially so when the PC version isn't even announced until after the console versions' peak sales period (first month) is over.

Besides, if Epic abandoned the PC, how do they explain Bulletstorm's PC version? Was it something their co-devs at People Can Fly insisted on? Also, fuck Epic for acting as if they were sole devs on Bulletstorm.

Epic 'ditched' the PC because they're whores for Microsoft. Nothing wrong with whoring out your business per se, but let's all be honest about, huh, Epic?
Yeah, because what Microsoft would want is for them to stop making games for windows? That makes sense.

Gears of War PC had it's allure in extra content, I own Gears of War on both 360 and PC because of that extra content. The fact of the matter is that piracy is rampant on the PC and it affects all games. If you think Epic's disillusion with the platform started with Gears of War not selling well you're wrong.

Unreal Tournament was pirated all to hell on all of it's many versions before that, as with the original Unreal. As most PC games are.

Since when did Epic pretend they were the sole devs on Bulletstorm? They praised the hell out of People Can Fly and beefed up Painkiller and spoke about how brilliant it was. Also, Bulletstorm was quickly ported to the PC because it was published by EA, and that's what they do.
