Poll: Do we need a font for sarcasm?

I've put up a few posts and read many. I've noticed that a hell of a lot of the time, people miss sarcasm.

Let's face it. You've all read damning rants leveled at some poor soul who's just used a legit comedic device. This problem is far more rare in oral communication, because we pick up on subtle nuances that let us know...

So, let me put it to you , do we need a standardised font for sarcasm?

Edit: What do you say mods? Bring it up at the next staff meeting? Easy to make it work in the tag commands...

most people use "/sarcasm" tag. That's what i do at least.

Doesn't that defeat the point? If you're making it obvious, then you may aswell say it.

That kills the joke though. Know what I mean? Sarcasm font does the same thing. Never explain the joke. If they miss it, that's their own fault. And I say this as someone who frequently has people miss the intended irony in my posts. Happens all the time.

Personally, I find it hilarious when clueless people think they're smarter than you because they're too slow to catch onto an obvious joke. All the people who catch onto the joke then end up laughing at the person who 'corrects' you, and you wind up looking way better for it. I've become Queen of three countries this way.

That's sounds like a good idea, yeah. Nobody would probably use it, but still worth have having.
