No, I don't. There isn't really any reason to in my eyes. If it happens, it happens. You won't be able to stop it, so no reason to worry about it.

Which apocalypse? You've named quite a few.

2012: nuh-uh.

Global Warming: is real (well, "climate change"). Won't kill us though.

Nukes: are obsolete. The days of nuclear war are over in human history. Modern weapons do the job cleaner and better.

Sickness: won't wipe us out. Hasn't yet.

Aliens: have their own problems.

Terminators: are busy chasing the aliens.

Wal-Mart: will exist as long as you continue to shop there. Won't end the world but may sell a few bits of it off real cheap.

Chuck Norris: is a religious fundamentalist and therfore probably the most scary thing in this thread. Probably won't end the world, might give it a few bruises though.

I don't really care either way. I mean, either the world ends, or it doesn't. It might end while I'm alive. Does it really matter? Even if I know when the world will end, I can't do a thing to stop it. I'd rather not know. I do believe the world will end someday, but that's as far as I'll go with the whole apocalypse thing.

I believe the world can and probably will end.

However, I also believe it isn't "written in the stars" or w/e

So to sum up, Yes it can end, but ancient civilizations (modern ones too), that have prophesied the end of the world, were talking out of their asses

Only feasible options for armageddon at the moment, but if i were to say, I think Global warming will totally have Earth uninhabitable fairly shortly if nothing is done, the planet is already heating up (Inb4 Lol, there was snow last winter hurr durrrrrr) the damage has been done, glaciers on the land are melting running into sea rasing sea levels, doom and gloom, [sub] while things go boom in dexters' lab [/sub]

EDIT: By fairly shortly, i dont mean next week, i mean ~75-100 years which isn't that much time.

I do believe the world will stop existing sometime. Not necessarily saying I believe that 2012 will be it, or nuclear war (since that idea seems to be extinct now). I'm probably thinking it will end in the end of times, in about 5000 million years from now.

I do thing we're fucking up Earth with global warming.

Define apocalypse: Eventually, in a few billion years, the sun is going to run out of hydrogen and increase in size about 1000 times and consume the earth. Eventually the world is going to end. But the 2012 stuff is a bunch of bull.

I believe human race wont last forever. I can't speculate on how long we will last or how it will come to an end, but everything ends once.

I don't think it will be a predicted thing that ends the world. It's more likely to be that you hear something on the news that some scientists are worried about, then the next day boom, everybody is dead. Then something else will take our place. But that would be in like a couple billion years so it's not like we'll be around.

And the thread has officially been defeated, at least the opening examples.

I believe it's possible for the human race to come to an end, it's called extinction, but I don't believe there's a prophecy or any of that bullshit.

Of course if nukes go off and put the world into a nuclear winter that would cancel out global warming now wouldn't it? and we have all those nifty fall out shelters that could still save us from the blast and avoiding the 75 year radiation half-life is as easy as getting one of those counter things (don't make me spell the word I can't spell) Life would be hard, but we wouldn't burn up, of course we could always dump a few tons of ice in the arctic and see if that helps.
We cant be dependant on blowing ourselves upto save us i'm afraid ;-; plus, a geiger conter (i think thats what you meant?) would only be the start, you'd need 75 years worth of preservable food, and growing more is impossible, obviously. so either way, lets just fuck it and live ;D
