Poll: Do you check your junk mail?

I don't know why, but I have always felt the need to just skim over the subjects of my received junk mail. What about you?

The only time I look in the junk folder is when I sign up for something and think the confirmation might end up there. Everything else gets deleted without a glance.

I have yet to get much actual junk mail; much of what ends up in my folder is legit. With this in mind, I go through to make sure I don't delete anything that isn't really spam.

I skim over who sent it, if its something thats from what looks like an acual person ill open it to see if i have any idea who they are and just to make sure that they didnt get accidentaly put through to the junk mail area.

So i jsut skim basicaly, don't open it unless i think its not really junk.

Basicaly its a Guilty untill proven innocent type of thing.

I was like you at one point, i used to never check my email for long periods of time. I came back to find 400 messages total that had acumulated. wasnt fun skimming through that.

I check, but only because the first thing to ever go into my junk folder was an e-mail from my mom. I'm paranoid now, I have to check every email (not opening it, obviously, but at least look at the subject line) before I delete it.

Because I have a very tight spam filter, I keep a close eye on that junk folder just to make sure nothing gets dumped in there that I actually want to keep. I then add whoever is not actually a spammer to my whitelist.

I only ever look in that folder when I suspect something I'm anticipating is getting misfiled as a junk message. Otherwise I ignore it.
