Gaming Discussion appears to be full of Microsoft and Sony fanboys thinly veiling their demented company worship behind a mask of objective criticism. Is there anyone willing to admit to being a total fanboy in this thread? If so, please try to explain yourself in addition to voting in the polls. I don't get you people.

Theres no such thing as a fanboy anymore...

Its got to the stage where people will post their opinions on a game - and will be called a fanboy by others because they don't follow the norm. Its absurd.

Of course, no one can honestly pick the "fanboy in denial" option...

I made my choice of console, but I'd like to think I'm not a fanboy of it. The other models just aren't for me, is all.

I used to be rather anti-Sony, but only because of bad experiences with their products overall. Now I use a Vaio and enjoy my PS3 most of all.

Used to be a Nintendo fanboy, but now I just don't care. The big 3 are more or less here to stay, no matter what their successes or their blunders, so just get over it.

I used to love Nintendo, but since the decline of the Wii...not anymore.

However, I love PC gaming. Although I wouldn't consider myself a "PC fanboy".

If firmly believing that the Wii has more than enough quality games to keep me happy for the forseeable future (with a little help in the form of my DS for commuting and my PC for the likes of Diablo III) makes me a fanboy, then yes, I am a Wii fanboy.

If that's the case, however, I would say that every single person stuck-up enough to look down on those who have a Wii as their primary console is a much larger fanboy than I. I merely go "I like the Wii, it's good enough for me". I don't refuse to accept that GTA, Halo and the like are quality games.

I can only play FPS on the computer, mainly because i find the analog sticks too hard to aim with, but outside of that i try to keep good balance between my PS3 and my PC. i love em both. dont really care what other people think of consoles. im happy with my PS3 so thats good enough for me.

You know you're a fanboy. I've seen your posts. No one can be that deep in denial.

I'm not a fanboy, I've got more than 10 systems. Sure I rant about how much better blast processing is than anything out today but if you take that kind of statement seriously you're crazy.

I was a Nintendo fanboy when I owned the NES, N64 and Gamecube. Now I'm not a fanboy.

A fair amount of fanboys have large numbers of consoles - all up I think I have about 8, 5 of which I use regularly.
Yes but they're usually consoles of the same brand, I (feel at least) that I'm more about the game vs the system. I go through phases I'll play classic games for a while then I'll go to PC and so on. Right now I'm into PC games like Crysis and Far Cry 2.

I used to be a nintendo fanboy, then I got taste.

The worst are the sega fanboys, still prattling on despite the fact that both their consoles and mascot are dead in the water.
You just can't get over how amazing blast processing is can you?

Out of curiosity, if you have ten consoles how can you not have any as part of the same brand? Or are we talking owning a Jaguar, a Phillips CD-i, and a TurboGrafX?
I didn't mean it like that I mean you see a pattern, like every nintendo console or something. I've got a few repeats though mostly that's because of compatibility issues. But yeah I dunno, this is "Do you consider yourself a fanboy" and honestly I don't. I have a pic of my rig that could sort out any doubt haha.

Believe me, I'd love to have all the consoles and a top-end PC. As it is, I have a Wii and a laptop that JUST can handle Left 4 Dead. That's the choice I made, and I don't begrudge someone for making a different one. For sure, there are some franchises and genres that I just don't get but I'm sure others would say the same about stuff I'm into.

I guess my point is this: Be a fanboy if you'd like, but just don't be a dick.
