I can do a couple latin dances. Otherwise, I always go crazy if there's music playing loud somewhere. It takes me a while to get in it, and usually a couple friends to have some fun with. I don't get why anyone would dislike it; it's tribal.

I got the basics covered in waltz, that is about all I got. Dancing can be fun, it's depending a lot on your dance partner about how fun it can be though. I've had some who smile from ear to ear and have a blast when dancing with me (which in turn makes it fun to dance with 'em), to those who start thinking 'bout something else and not really paying too much attention (which gets boring real fast..).

I do dance. I prefer ballroom to anything else, but I am quite versatile in my abilities.

Dancing's great; for me it's a ballroom class and regular modern dance for whenever. On a side note, as a girl I can honestly say that any guy who can dance or at least tries is automatically ten times more attractive than one who doesn't. Not sure why, though...

I dance on nights out...but that's just like a shaking of the body kinda thing, you know move your legs a bit, jig your body, and put your hands in the air at the right moments :p

I wish i could dance properly though...would love to and wish i learned from a young age to be honest.

I regard myself as a very confident person in public. I strike up conversations with dozens of strangers each night I'm out, I'm unafraid to show who I am, and give my opinion on things. My friends often use me as a catalyst to meet new people.

However, get me on a dance floor, and something breaks. I become the most self-conscious, uncoordinated, uncertain and unconfident person in the building (at least it feels/looks that way). I cannot dance in that state of mind.

I am sad at the responses. I think that dancing is a way for two people can move at one. Learn each others reaction to subtle hints and motions. Learning to be aware of the timing and how your movement affects the others.

I do occaisonally (after much much alcohol). But my dancing style is of the same quality as Angel's:
Aw, hell, I was gonna be all original and funny and post that video. I don't think I've ever been ninja'd that... specifically before.

But no, I most certainly don't dance. Not well, anyway. The last time I danced in public... it was a university-sanctioned thing. The whole point was to look ridiculous.

I do on occasion, like last night at my Homecoming dance (I'm a guy btw). I usually only dance if I'm with friends at a party or a dance though, since I'm not very good at it.

Well, first off, I love to dance. I can hardly go a week without going and getting my suedes dirty.
My favorite type of dance to just do for fun has got to be hands down east coast swing. The big band era has just got such an awesome variety of musical styles and songs to pick from that it's hard for a swing session to be bland. And you can swing or, by extension, Lindy Hop to very nearly anything. East coast is a 6 count dance, and lindy hop is an 8 count or you can make it a 4 count. So, as long as you're creative enough and have a good sense of musicality, there's very little you can't dance to.

But my absolute favorite style of dance, and my sinful little secret, has got to be Tango, either Argentine or ballroom, it doesn't matter. The absolute and total reliance you have on your partner and that they have on you is like nothing else. The perfect rhythm between the two of you is almost spiritual. If you haven't had the chance to learn tango, I would highly recommend it.

If you haven't guessed from the above, I dance a lot, I love to dance, and I like to think that I dance very well.

Usually when I'm going out for the night, I'm either going with my partner to Tango or I'm going to meet a bunch of friends somewhere to tear up the floor. But there are times when I'll just head out to a ballroom and just dance with total strangers all night long.

Having to know how to dance is almost a requirement to be a friend of mine. I would say that over half of the people I know I've either met through dance or taken them and they thought it was the greatest thing ever.

Sorry about the essay, but this is just a topic that's very dear to my heart.

By the way, if anyone reads this and is either into the Seattle or Olympia Dance scene, hit me up and let me know. Females preferred, but just because it's much less awkward.

that episode of Avatar the last airbender at the fire nation school?

i don't really dance. wish i could and would be willing to learn something besides shifting from side to side. How come all the dance classes and lessons only teach u how to do the dances to make u the center of attention. i just wanna dance decently with my girl or alone out of the bloody limelight!

No. I get very dizzy after about 5 seconds of dancing. In those 5 seconds, I will only dance to hardcore techno, which is probably the fastest loudest music there is. I don;t feel tempted to shake to anything slower.

Depends what sort of dancing you are referring too.

If you mean dancing with a partner (such as a waltz) then i have learnt a few dances and managed to do them without my partner falling over, of which i am proud.

If you mean the sort of dancing people do in a club, then hell no! Nothing against dancing or people who do it, its just not my idea of fun.
