I don't get it either - people will respect your job, your religion (in fact, whole belief system), any other choice you make in life aside from not drinking. Living in Ireland, where drinking sums up our whole culture, I've opted to not even go out anymore. It's just not worth every human in a 5-mile radius shoving drinks into your hands.boots said:People are amazingly intolerant of it, actually. I've been in situations where I've had to say "no" fifty times to people who try to insist on just one drink, and even had people try to spike my drink with alcohol to trick me into it. Unfortunately for them I have a nose.
were you brewing the real beer? alone? i remember my friends grandpa used to do. from what i know its a demanding hobby, sometimes having to stay with it for 24 hours straight and whatnot.DoctorImpossible said:I do. I love beer enough that I not only drink it, but got hooked on homebrewing a few years back. Lovely hobby and if I survive the apocalypse I know I'll have at least one worthwhile skill.
I am on hiatus from drinking vast quantities of alcohol.Arakasi said:Simple poll. If so why, if not, why not?
I personally don't drink,
Speaking as a currently sober pisshead, I completely respect your decision not to drink. Me, personally, if someone says they don't drink because of their religion, because they're driving, or just because they don't like it I'll understand and won't push it. What's the point if they're not having fun? But I know a lot of my mates can be a bit more aggressive.boots said:Nope, been teetotal for five years. Don't like the taste, effect or cost. No judgement on people who do drink, it's just a personal preference.
