I drink. Never had bad experiences from alcohol and I'm lucky with that. I know a lot of people can't handle it properly. I just know when to stop. And even though I sometimes go way out of line, I still never had a bad experience. All I do when I'm drunk is cheer up, talk a LOT and be very emotionally engaged with people. That's all.

I don't forget, don't become agressive, don't say stupid stuff, don't fall over, etc. etc.

Well do you? For me I am underage but I have never thought of the idea of drinking a pleasent one. So I sort of made a early vow to never drink any Alcohol and just stick to Soda. I just like to keep sober as being drunk doesn't seem to be good physicaly or mentally.

edit: I get it, I should try it before I condem it but honestly, I just don't want to like it, I have already a problem when I drink too much soda, don't want the same to happen...
Dude sometimes it's much more funny to be the sober one ... although you're the paranoid one that something terrible is going to happen from the stupor. But hey drunkies like you when you're reliably the driver. Plus, you can spin the stories how you want from any ridiculousness in question the next day. "Hey man did I make out with Jim last night?" your response "Only for 5 min, that only makes you slightly homosexual." Oh, the funny things to screw with peoples' heads.

Side note: Nice tag under your username (points at avatar). :D

I haven't tried any, being underage, but I do know what Science says about Alcohol.
And Science tells me that getting drunk impairs every sense I've got, and makes a royal moron out of me.

So, no, I'm not going to drink the mind-altering, liver-damaging gook, that provides only temporary and meaningless escape from the trials of life.
I'm pretty sure you also just described gaming. And sex. And pretty much every other joy in life, dude. It's the little things that make up life, and if you avoid these things, well... you have no life. No offense.
My main problem is the trade-off.
The physiological effects of alcohol just don't seem to be worth the trouble to me.
I dunno. Your Mileage may vary.

Rarely but if anyone checks my previous post on age thread...anywho <.< I don't like the taste of beer or alcomahole in general, I much prefer coke not the drug the drink.

I downed about a litre of vodka in the space of 2 hours last night.... so yeah i drink. Vodka gives a good feeling when you get drunk off of it... also i have found that all alchohol offers a different mood altering affect when imbibed... my suggestion to anyone who just thinks it's yucky and makes people do stupid shit... well if you think it's the booze and not the fact that most people are a little less than geniusses to begin with that makes people do stupis stuff, well... i would question the logic there. if you don't overdo it, you won't make an ass of yourself... unless you do that sober in which case you probably will with some booze in you as well...

also... it won't be a guaranteed life shortener either... goin back like 4 generations in my family people drank like fishes and lived a good long time... hell my great grandad was an alchy and he lived to 94, great great grandad also lived into his 90s. my family is generally long lived, and oh yeah everyone in my family who has died young... swore off alchohol entirely... give that a thought... they all died of various forms of cancer and brain disorders and things that just haven't affected the rest at all... :p
but yeah i suggest testing a wide variety before you swear it off as bad just because of a popular immage... not all people who drink are party animal fraternity following idiots who dance naked in the street and hoot and howl and do stupid things after a few drinks.

Im Estonian. By average we drink the second amount of alcohol in Europe. Only the Czech are beating us. For now... Generally white, East-Europeans should have the best tolerance, but then it already is about your personal heritage.
For now? xD; I wonder where you find statistics like that. (And who the hell had time to come up with them?)

But that makes sense then considering I'm mostly German and Italian.
I think it was made by the EU. The whole thing was a bit of a scandal in Estonia. The health organizations had campaigns about that so the people would drink less. For me they were not very effective (pouring myself another shot of minttu...)

Sober since 1996. I was 19.

See, the only difference between "assault charges were dropped" and "manslaughter" is the fact that the victim of my violent-drunk berserker's rage survived the night in the hospital. And he said "I won't press charges but you have to promise to clean your ass up, man."

Oh, did I mention that the victim was my best friend since childhood? And that his only crime was making eye contact with my girlfriend and having me take it the wrong way?

Yeah. That's why I don't drink anymore.

I didn't drink that much before I turned 20 , but now I drink everytime I go to a bar or a party. Which is like once a week, sometimes more. It's fun to get drunk.

Underage, but yes, I do drink it, although very rarely. Cider to be precise. It used to just be a quick steal now and then to see what it was like, but I was quite surprised when my Dad offered me a bottle. I drank it. It was good. I woke up Hungover, I pretty much stopped there and then.

Perhaps the odd sip now and again though, nothing major that could really heavily impact me negatively.

I used to be against drinking myself, but now I drink for taste. It's fun to try new things and build a palette. I'm fascinated by the craft of making beers, whiskeys, and wines, and I'm learning to differentiate different brands and styles. It's like a little adventure for your mouth. But, since I tend to choose pricier things based on taste, I don't drink very much at a time.

Yes, but never just for the sake, or just to get drunk.
I've always preferred cider or white wine to most beers, so I'll drink stuff I like if it's around, but not miss it that bad if it's gone..

It's nice to drink at a party or a gig, though earlier this year I ended up on some harsh antibiotics and painkillers and had the best gig experience of my life, completely sober! It just goes to show, both sides have their perks..

Soda is much more harmful than any alcoholic drink.
Source? You can't just state that and not back it up.
Compare a can of coke to a can of beer.

A can of coke is completely devoid of any nutritional value. It's all chemicals and preservatives and an insanely high amount of sugar, and has no nutritional value what so ever.

A can of beer has minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants. It's been shown to have health benefits when consumed in moderation.

I'm not kidding you when I say Soda is literally one of the most harmful things you can give your body. Your judgement is purely based on the mindset of "Oh, if I consume alcohol I'll get really drunk and puke all over the place and make bad decisions". Anything when consumed excessively has bad side effects, but if you're just drinking casually, coke is always harmful, beer isn't.

Of course, ultimately drinking alcohol or not is your choice and your choice alone, it's not something I encourage but it isn't something I'd condemn either.

But whatever you do, get off the Soda. It's just so harmful.
Yeah but while that may be true, I rather drink Soda then beer? Why? Becuase last time I checked I can drink lets say 5 cans of soda and not become a giant idiot who has no control over his body while my brain cells begin to die becuase of it.

also because crap like this happens because of beer:

Yep, but socially for the most part. Never imbibed enough to make myself puke, and I intend to keep it that way.
