Yeah i've faked before... and ladies fake on regular basis as its not particularly easy for them to get to an orgasm... but i guess in most cases you wouldn't really know the difference until you've actually made em come :3

A note to anyone who feels the need to fake it:

Tell the other person things aren't working right, and what you'd like them to try and do to fix it. If they love you they want you to be happy, even if it costs them a sting of pride. This doesn't apply during the first few times together, as virgin sex is (nearly) always terrible.

(As a male:) for myself, I have not. I've admitted a few times that I haven't gotten off, but after I said a that I was perfectly fine she'd let it go, and after a year or so she got used to it. She herself was always really quiet during though, so while she always said that she hadn't faked it, for a couple years I was secretly worried she didn't have very many.

Then one evening during a party I eavesdropped on her with her gang of girlfriends talking about sex (Yes, I am horrible person), and I discovered that she had the most orgasms amongst her friends and that she had the best sex life out of all of them. I know its stupid to take a lot of pride in something like that, but damn if I didn't glow that week.
That is one of the best things to take pride in, I sure would have

I've never faked, and I'd prefer if a girl I'm with didn't fake and just told me how to make it more enjoyable for her.

And to all the guys saying that they know their girlfriends don't fake, unless you actually share nerve endings with her, no, no you don't.
sometimes its rather easy to tell. There are certain things that can't be faked such as body temperature and flushing. My ex when ever she was done you could literally feel her whole body temperature suddenly rise from flushing during orgasm.

Maybe you should be better so ladies don't have to fake on a regular basis...sorry I couldn't resist

Male: No and No.
I'd never want the girl to fake it for me, so I'm not about to do that to the girl.

Well, how about including an option for those of us who have never had the chance to fake it (i.e. virgins)?

Well out of both times I've had sex, I've never faked it... she says I was fine but I doubt it... thoroughly doubt it...<.<

I'd rather be told I'm doing a shit job and have it be all awkward than sit paranoia for a while... besides it's not a good feeling to know that you're doing a bad job and they just feel so bad for you that they'd fake it out of pity...

I had to fake it once. I regretted having done so (out of either cowardice or sheer fatigue) and it was indicative of the beginning of the end of that relationship.

As has been noted by sexual psychologists on the subject, before faking an orgasm, one should ask themselves why they're doing so. I'd say the reason should be something fairly severe, e.g. to land this cushy job or for the security of my country.

But most sex (and certainly all good sex) is had under a premise of trust and mutuality. If you can't trust your partner with the truth that you're just a naked hominid, and not some kind of studmuffin / total fox / nice guy / pure girl / pick your dispositionary archetype, it's not time to have sex. It follows, then, that if you can't let your partner know you don't come like a pornstar (or on the other hand, alert neighbors for three blocks whenever you climax), it's not time to have sex. It also follows, thus, that if you can't trust your partner with what gets you off, or the fact that his monotonous routine ain't cutting it, it's not time to have sex.

Also, many, many a good time has been had from making out and all the fun stuff between that and actual penetrative sex. A couple can actually explore each other, get each other off, and still have a great time without coitus, and then still get to keep their silly silver rings. I'd recommend to all couples, time willing, to learn how to exchange orgasms this way before having sex.

Yes. But only when making a joke about orgasms and their sounds. I have never faked an orgasm while having sex with a person. Mostly because Ive never had a chance to.

I've only ever faked it once. The guy was 3 inches long rock hard and the sex was going nowhere. He got his, I faked it...Eh. He had fun. I can handle sex sucking once in awhile.

I much prefer to actually communicate with my partner, but in the past I've faked an orgasm, just for the sake of keeping the evening simple.

I'm a bloke, by the way.

I faked it when I lost my virginity. It wasn't that enjoyable to be honest and it was really awkward and was going on forever so I just faked it to be done with it.
Shamefully, I did the exact same thing. She was a virgin too and neither of us really knew what we were doing. She seemed in pain and I didn't wanna be pushy.
Same here as well...is this really that common of a occurance?

The failure to get off? Hard to document.

The pain?

You're ripping part of her vagina if she really is a virgin, so the pain's universal.

Luckily she didn't notice I was holding a shampoo bottle in my hand.
No and no.. It's a pretty strange concept though, is it just to make their partner feel better about their skill with their squishy parts?
Semen: Now with Mountain Fresh scent!

OT:
Romantic relationships instill a deep horror in my soul, so I don't exactly have the experience required to hold an opinion on this sorta matter.
But from where I sit today, I think I'd be fairly upset if a partner really felt the need to lie, and I'd take it as something of a bad sign if I did.
