Escapists, I have risen with my first thread, addressing the fear of clowns. Every once in a while the question rises whether or not I fear clowns and I actually wonder how many people do, and if it's a stereotypical thing, if it comes naturally to all. My question to you is if you have, or have ever had, a fear of any kind of clown.

For me it would be a yes, but I was little and I thought everyone my age was supposed to fear them or something, I don't know, my mind was a puzzle as a child.

For added fun, please share with us amusing clown-related anecdotes. With ASTONISHING DETAIL

Well, I'm nothing towards them. So... They just exist. I'm definitely not afraid of them and I don't find them funny... Oh wait! No! Pennywise, is hilarious!

i don't fear them. I feel sorry for SOME of them. There are excellent clowns, like Slava's Snowshow, who are the real embodiment of a clown, with jokes that are actually funny, not just ruining the self-esteem of someone by throwing a cake in their face. The best part is they're mute (not like deaf-mute, but no dialogue) and that makes it all the funnier/universal/fantastic.

I'm sorry, but I could only fear one clown in the world. His name is Pennywise...

I'm not afraid of clowns, but I don't exactly like them either.

They just sort of come off as an old, dying form of humor that few people still appreciate.

I am not one of them.

[HEADING=2]You're my wife now, Dave...[/HEADING]

I went to the circus at age 7. This was back when they had lions and tigers. All that stuff, fine. Soon as the clowns appeared, I hid under my seat.

This was long before The Brave Little Toaster and Pennywise.

Clowns are just freaks.

no, I feel like clowns shouldn't exist at all, they're tacky, not funny, irritating, and tasteless :/ I don't remember seeing many clowns at all growing up and I feel there are even less and less now, hopefully its a fad... thing... words....
