I only ever use cheats when i just want to have some fun, never use them to help complete a game

I generally only cheat when the game has been completed, there is so much additional fun to be had. Crysis' nanosuit was hilarious when you tinkered with the settings. For example, increasing maximum speed by 800% and flying face first into a wall at the other end of the map, doing the same with maximum strength and playing Hulk with tanks and yes, the abovementioned free wedgies for everyone
Cheating against the computer when you've already had your fun the normal way is perfectly acceptable. However, if I can cheat against other people, I never will. I would feel like shit because I either cheated them out of a win, or cheated them out of their right to a fair game. I can't stand hackers online, because if you're going to cheat at least have it not harm anyone else. Also, I like the approach that newer games take when they disable achievements when cheats are activated, I just always found that cool.
I'm lucky seeing as how I've never encountered hackers, but I've had friends playing Diablo II lose their hardcore characters because some jackass entered the game with hacks and basically killed everyone (he was able to hit my friends even though they weren't marked for PvP). Luckily a GM was able to restore most of them, but others couldn't prove the guy who killed their character was hacking, so they didn't get their's back (it wasn't the same guy every time, and sometimes they were marked for PvP (no idea why you'd take that risk when you play harcore), but he was able to one shot them even though they were the same level.

In single player, I like to experience everything there is to experience before I actually cheat. In games such as GTA, I beat the story and side missions and all that, then walk around as an unstoppable juggernaut with infinite ammo and a health bar that laughs at bullets.
In multi-player, I've never cheated or abused a bug or glitch. I don't need to.
So, no I don't feel guilty.
Speaking of GTA, does anyone else miss the "enraged civilians" cheat? GTA4 civilians are boring. Even the occasional car-jacker would have spiced the game up a bit.

There should be a "Sometimes." option up there, but anyways...
OT: I chose yes, but only because there are some games where cheating just feels like a bad thing to do; games that focus on open world sandbox for one. For instance, I always felt guilty in any GTA game when I'd activate the ol' "Armor, Health, and Money" cheat. I never felt that way with weapons cheats though, as that's not giving much of a distinct advantage over anything unless the weapons included are one hit kill super destructo weapons.
So to summarize, if I'm enabling God mode or giving myself more money to do something that's important in the game, then yes, I feel guilty, but for anything else, no I don't.

Developers, when they're testing the games and have already checked a level, use cheat codes to zoom right past the levels they already played to get to the ones they haven't checked. At least that's what I think they were originally intended for. I don't know about now. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I couldn't enjoy the Grand Theft Auto series without cheats. So no I don't feel bad; however, when I cheat at boardgames I feel slightly bad.
Not really. Only if I haven't beaten the game yet. I once had a team of 6 Lv. 100 Gengars before Brock in Pokemon Yellow.
Guilty? No. Bored? Yes.
Where's the challenge if I can't lost--after all, it's just a number on my score going up if I'm using cheats. It has no meaning.
Especially in single player games. My 11 year old self played through Starcraft using cheats, and was bored to all hell, only playing to get to the next mission and cutscene.

Back in the day I would have talked myself blue in the face about how evil cheating was.
However nowadays without a reputation to keep among a circle of gaming friends, it's not much of an issue. And for personal conscience's sake, I only cheat on factors that I believe should have been in the game, or are justified.

I have a friend who bought the game just for the cut-scenes, and he'll no doubt be cheating his way through because he's awful at rts. It's a kind of sad statement when Blizzard has dredged up such a riveting tale that people would rather pay $50 than read a book.Ryokai said:
