Poll: Do you find Dilbert funny?

Yes I do. When I get a paper that has Dilbert in it I generally read it before the articles. May as well get the day off to a good start before reading what my retarded State Government has fucked up this time.

Oh, and it's an infinitely better source of work-based humor than The Office. Seriously, I do not get that show.

In a pleasant way yes. I get a free copy of the sunday paper since I have extras from my paper job, and I often read Garfield and Dilbert. They're enjoyable!

It used to be good over here. Now whenever I see it I want the 10 seconds of my life back that I wasted reading it.

I like the comic, though it gets painful when you start to actually see the kinds of things presented as jokes in a serious manner in an office. Similarly with "The Office".

Saw the TV series a few years back when it was still airing, then I saw the Cubes and Punishment (I think that's the title.) compilation book in a store and picked it up. Loved every second of reading it.

Yea, Dilbert has some really good comics, although it's not as good as the Far Side (then again, what is?).

I have probably 20+ of the books. I love Dilbert, but I have a family member who is in corporate business, so it offers context for all the office-specific jokes.

Yes, but I'm a computer programmer so my life is like a non-cartoon version of Dilbert's. I get every new Dilbert by email.

I used to read Dilbert, but it became pretty repetitive and boring for me. I still read Calvin and Hobbes though, even though its been out of print for 15 years.

Yes. Sadly it seems to be fairly realistic. I have a friend that works for a engineeringing company, and the work stories he tells could have come right out of that comic strip.

It only makes me laugh twice a week at most, which is amazing when compared to anything else in the local paper. And it's not like Mutts or Rose is Rose and their soul scarring horribleness.

It's the only one of the big three (Calvin & Hobbes, Far side, and Dilbert) that's still alive, so that's something. The years are starting to show their wear and tear, but it's still consistently funny. And that's the important thing.

I love Dilbert - but then, I've been in corporate culture for a large part of my life, whether the offices of my parents', or my current employer.

It's decent. For some reason, it isn't in the comics section of my paper. It's put in the business section or something.

I think Pearls Before Swine is a far better strip though.

I don't bother with the newspaper ones anymore, they're always repeats of earlier jokes. I get my funnies from Dilbert.com and the animated cartoons on Youtube

as a whole, probably not, but it has some of the funniest moments ever.

like the blood drive

everyone's sitting in an auditorium waiting to give blood, and the organizer stands on the stage and says something like "Alright, time to start weeding people out. You are ineligible to give blood if you are, or have ever been, Wally."

and Wally just pumps his arm and says "Sweet, First out again!"

Ends up being only Dilbert that's elligible for giving blood. He gives like 20 bags of blood, and then his boss starts throwing them out the windows like water balloons.

Then he tries to drive home and gets pulled over for being drunk, but he's like "I'm not drunk officer, it was my work.. that stupid lady stole my blood, and she wouldn't even give me a cookie!!"

I still laugh even just thinking about that sequence of events and I haven't seen it for years.
