Why would I do that? Considering how little money I can spend on this hobby these days, I do everything I can to avoid games I doubt I would like. Certainly won't waste time on em too if I *do* end up with a stinker.

Nope. If a game disappoints me, I see no point in wasting time playing it, when there are better games I could be playing in that same time, games I really enjoy. Games are entertainment, I don't see why I should force myself to do something I don't like.

Plus, I gave up on achievements a long time ago, so I don't even force myself to play games to get those anymore either.

I couldn't play Darksiders for the Pc, after the first level I couldn't play with such a sensitive camera any more. Same goes for Section 8, after many hours of trying to get it to work, no matter how good the game is, after spending so much time trying to get it to work, it would never make up for lost time, I just uninstalled it.

No. Examples of this include Quantum of Solace and Legendary.
QoS was padded by splicing random bits of Casino Royale in, like the bit where he gets poisoned, and the hand-to-hand combat system was shit. The gun combat was tolerable, but didn't come close to being the games redemption.
Legendary was just shit in every conceivable way.

No, my greatest criticism for a game is: "It was so bad, that I couldn't even bring myself to finish it".

But that almost never happens, probably partly due to the fact that I try to finish any story I enjoy, for any media. For games, that means that even if the gameplay is mediocre, I'll probably finish it if I'm into the story.

Worst game I ever completed was King Kong for the DS. And that was because it took like five hours to beat, and it was the only DS game I had for Christmas (it was bundled with it when the DS first came out.) Man, it was aweful, but the novelty of playing a DS game kept me going.

If I don't like the gameplay mechanics but the story is great and graphics are okay yes. If the mechanics are great with decent graphics but horrid story no. Good mechanics, best graphics in the universe but crappy story then no.

I have a lot of unfinished games but ones I'll probably never get round to finish? Oblivion. Can't stand the awful looking NPCs and their dopey immersion-shattering conversations. But yeah, if I don't like it I'll get bored and put it aside. Might come back to it later and try again but it's unlikely.

The last game was MGS4, I liked the previous three, so I had to see how this one turned out, and it was the biggest waste of time I ever spent playing a game.

I did complete Dirge of Cerberus, so there's your answer.
I didn't technically buy that, it was a Gamefly rental, but I did finish it too. It wasn't terrible. In response to the thread, I've yet to finish the original Saints Row, just because the respect system and minigames are so annoying. There's no consistency compared to the second game. I'm eventually going to finish it, but there's no rush.

Depends on if they're short. I didn't like Dark Void and I finished it.

However, I've been a lot more busy recently and haven't even found time to finish games I do like.

nope. Sometimes I don't even finish games I like.

There's a ton of awesome games out there, fun enjoyable ones that will enthrall me for hours. Some will draw my attention from other, less enjoyable (but still enjoyable) games.

Why waste time on crap I don't like?

Nope, never finished dead space, found it so incredibly tedious, got a few other games that i never finished as well.

I don't see the point in wasting time playing something i don't enjoy! I'd rather replay I game that I really love!

I have a hard enough time finishing the games that I DO like so you can pretty much guess what happens to games that I don't like very much.

Yeah, but useally it's either because it has been declared bad by everyone and their dog and I want my own material to make fun of it, or it has some kind of gimmick I really like, like the hook shot from just cause (not that it's a bad game as such, but the thing that made me play to the end certainly wasen't the story, or that i cared for anyone in that game, I just wanted the next chance to hookshot a persuing vehicle into the asfalt and see it bounce back.)

The Latest utterly bad game, was Dark Void, I believe, damn that game sucked on every level, but by god, it had a jetpack!

I manage somehow to finish the game, even though I do not like it in a particular fashion.

I will try pushing myself to complete the game so I can delete it from my computer.
