Poll: Do you hate clans?

I've recently answered this Australian douchebag(certainly not Yahtzee).I am absolutely ashamed of those clan fags,they abstract what FPS game are intended for,relaxation.the rest of my explanation is explained to that guy.I'm awesome-is-spy,btw.

It's annoying when they join as a whole team against you, then brag about how good they are and don't shut up.

I don't mind too much. I've been asked to join clans before and said no, and they've been fine with that. The occasional clan member I've come across has been a douche though. But on the whole they don't really bother me. I often play Halo CE online on PC and join this particular dedicated server that's clan-run and most people there aren't in a clan anyway. I just don't really give a damn either way...

The clans that constantly brag and just generally grief are annoying but I don't have anything against the ones who just play normally.
I do get a sense of achievment when I decimate the giefing type of clan though =D

I can hate some clans, as i myself play with my mates often although at no point are we really organised and we just play and chat together, nor do we camp etc etc. For me our clan was just a way to get the names we wanted without having xXxxXXx in our names, we suck as a clan, i actually wouldnt mind playing in a clan.

Clans are ok I guess, I'm not gonna say I don't like them playing competitively with each other, but it does kinda kill the fun for me if you have an entire team of one clan and the other is random people who joined a random server.

One thing I really hate though is 12 year olds on MW2 putting SAS in their clan tag. If I see anyone doing it I laugh in their faces, and generally be a b*stard to them any chance I get.

I really don't care as long as they leave me alone. I don't get the purpose of having clans in fighting games seeing as most of them are strictly 1-on-1 fights and yet there are at least 3 of them on Soul Calibur 4 right now.

If I'm in hardcore and they are a little 10 year old I will TK for such stupidity.

Agreed, I am also willing to team kill those with stupid clan names.

I remember on COD4 one kid in an SAS one shit talking that none of the other players were good enough for his "brigade". They whole team turned on him. It was sweet.

I honestly don't care about them. I play Call Of Duty 4 on a clan server and use their Teamspeak because they are fun guys to play with, that is about as far as I care about clans.

As stated frequently they occasional douchebag who thinks he is awesome because he is in a clan is the problem.

I'm in a (Team Fortress 2) clan, so no. However, the clan I'm in plays for fun and doesn't take itself very seriously. I also don't like clans which say they're "totally MLG" and "pwn scrubs all day long, lololol".

I don't really understand why anyone would want to be in a clan in an online FPS game, sure it's great in a MMORPG or something like that. I do enjoy beating clan dudes though, especially on CoD

OT: I think that clans who fill up public TDM's just to piss people off are annoying but at least they aren't very common.

I reckon that clans can make a games' experience waaay funner, as long as they aren't dicks or too competitive. Also scrimmages AWESOME if they aren't done competitively and are just done for fun.

Clans are like a mini community of its own, so as long all the people aren't total dicks then it can make a game a helluava lot better.
