can't say I do
women are usually portrayed as being nimble, athletic and all that, requiring lighter armor for better mobility

however, an armor made of glass? THAT's preposterous

Don't really mind it if it's in a context that is clearly non-serious, but in a game that's meant to be serious, it just seems stupid and out-of-place. That said, it is rather overused even in non-serious games.

Define "sexy armor". Black Widow from Iron Man 2/Avengers? FemShep light armor (pretty much skintight, like male armor)? Bayonetta? Ashley Williams Spectre armor?

Or..Female World of Warcraft armor?

Because if it is the latter, I can completely agree. If it is the former, I simply shake my head.

I dont mind it as long as its realistic. Its fantasy after all even most male armour is unrealistic in truth.

DA armour was pretty good, Wow is getting pretty good at this as well. Go look at the last few Tier sets and season gear.Plate tends to be very androgynous while anything that is more revealing is reserved for classes who arnt supposed to get hit.

Rogue T13

Druid

But even then wow is now turning to wow factor as apose to fan service

Priest T13

Some of Rift's armour was pretty good, others were just...Sigh. Apparently AION's plate classes were pretty well covered but I never played it so I couldn't say for sure.

Honestly? This:

"Sexy" armor doesn't really bother me, nor does it particularly get my attention. That said, there is at least one instance of sexy armor that I honestly despise:

This "armor" is ugly, distracting, and gives me unpleasant images of rust in certain unmentionable areas.

I don't find it to be too much of a problem, tbh. Possibly due to the fact that the games I get usually don't show an abundance of them in consecutive fashion as well, but nonetheless.

In my opinion, as long as the developers aren't going too far with how they sexually portray the woman in solidarity with their scantily clad figures, I'd most likely have no issue with it. Although, sometimes certain character designers can get pretty impenitently ridiculous in how they dress their females, 'ey. *cough* Yosuke Hayashi *cough*

If she's got more material in her weapon than in her armor, something's wrong.

Wouldn't it be better to have this be yes no or a little not yes or 4 ways of saying no? Whatever. yeah I don't care.

I think it's annoying but not a game ruin-er.

You see the guys with armour comparable to a baneblade and the females are running in with little more than dental floss but still taking an equal amount of damage.

I know being on the "sexy armour is bad" side paints me as a white knight but I don't care.

I am not gay or opposed to seeing female NPC "flesh" but if I want to look at flesh there are plenty of sites with human flesh to look at.

I would much rather have "GI Jane" than "Barb wire".

Yeah, I actually like the way that TES does it in most cases - generally people wear shit you'd expect people to wear to a fight. Except for glass armor because seriously wtf.
Well, technically the "glass" in glass armor is some sort of superstrong mineral. don't ask me why. You might already know this, but I don't really care, I just take every available opportunity to spout off my knowledge on the series.

I'll agree with Zhukov. Context is everything.

I'd rather that the armor doesn't really differ *too* much from either gender. But I don't mind sexy armor. It just gets silly when a chainmail bikini adds +10000 defense, while fullblown plate armor adds +50. I believe Guild Wars does armors logically, VERY well. At the max level for any character(which is easy to reach) you'll never ever see a Caster type character such as a Necromancer or an Elementalist, toting around armor that offers more protection than the armor that a Paragon or Warrior would wear.

That being said, aesthetically, I think Kingdoms of Amalur does rather well, too. Like plate armors for Warrior type characters. The two genders aren't all that different from each other. The female versions are more fitted for the female form, but that's about it. Actually there isn't really much of a difference at all. Just slap a pair of boobs on the front of the torso armor and bam, you have the female version. This, however, I cannot say 100% holds true for the Mage or Rogue type armors, as I have not yet seen both versions of these armors.

The Majority of the time, "bikini armour" is more of an annoyance then an enjoyment. Yes, a hot chick in a literal breast plate (ie cover just the boobs)and Chainiki bottoms (chainmail bikini) is enjoyable to look at, but Im not watching a movie or playing a game to see skin.. I am watching/playing to enjoy the medium.. and I dont think that it needs to have every female character onscreen wearing just enough metal peices to make it not a porn.

That being said.... Very awesome picture of Xena.. I had a good laugh at that

I don't really mind it. Sometimes it's just over gratuitous to the point of complete ridiculousness, then I don't really get on with it. But in many games I play I'm already suspending disbelief as it is, I can suspend it a little further for a few good curves.
