I really don't care about all the gimmicky 3d stuff that's coming out. I hate watching movies in 3d as I never think it looks that good and it hurts my eyes for some reason.

3D is expensive and generally looks like arse, in my opinion. No idea what the big deal about it is.

No, I get enough headaches and migraines without needing something to add to it as well. Besides, 3D TVs are insanely overpriced.

*Looks at his TV*
I can honestly say, that my TV is indeed 3-dimensional. It's too thick to be considered as a 2-dimensional object...

Yeh, I've got one.

I like it alot. Some of the games look good already, but the major problem with it is that the consoles simply aren't up to scratch yet. Most aren't using 1080p resolution and basically lack the power to do what could be done. My reason for thinking this is the time I spent using 3rd party PC drivers to force games into 3D, the power of the PC allowed me to do this whilst maintaining full resolution and detail. They looked spectacular, black-ops/Arkham Asylum/NBA 2k11 in particular benefiting from it enormously.

Films are another thing entirely. The selection is fairly limited at this point(especially in the uk where pickings are slimmer for some reason. Also manufacturer specific deals mean half of the films are only available with the purchase of specific TV's or blu-ray players...which is shitty). But, I assure you that it's an obvious improvement over what you get in the cinema...sharper, more pronounced, simply...better.

I realise I'm in the minority here in thinking this is going to be big for gaming, but I'm willing to bet I'm one of an even smaller group who has experienced what it can do when backed by some decent hardware.

Love, peace, Panda.

No, they're really not that exciting at all and I couldn't even justify replacing a perfectly functional CRT TV with an LCD one, let alone a 3D one...

I do and i like it. Crysis 2 in 3d blew my mind
I've checked it out and dislike 3D, looks silly to me. So I'm going to avoid it.

I don't have a TV, but my laptop has a 3D screen. I've never used it and when I bought the computer, I didn't even realise the screen was 3D. I should probably get some use out of it, just so it won't go to waste. But if it's like in the movie theatre, then I don't think I'll like it.

Personally , i think the 3D effect from Imax cinemas are the only 3d effects worth paying for.
The 3D tv's look like arse , inefficient , gives you headaches , expensive .

The guy who I recently picked up PC off of sold it because he built himself a new beast of a machine and also got himself a 3d monitor & glasses. Got to check out CoD:BO & Starcraft II and I must say it was pretty interesting although the glasses hurt my head after a while.

Starcraft II was particularly awesome although I'd never play competitive matches like that.

We don't even have hi-def.

Our TV is about as big and new as they come without being hi-def, so it's a bastard to move.

To me, it would be a waste of money. 3D is just a gimmick that will hopefully wear off soon. I'd leave it to theaters to have it, but I'd never invest in any 3D thing. The 3DS gave me a headache because it felt as if I was playing with my eyes crossed, while spinning slowly in the room, and that's what the TV would be--only bigger.

I do have an HDTV, and that's enough.

Freaking Hate 3-D....when will it die, and reincarnate in another 30 years?
