The Pile: A place where games go to die.

So, do you have 'The Pile'? This is where people generally put games they've either completely finished, or just dislike so much that they can't see themselves replaying. It doesn't really have to be a pile - it can be a shoebox, or even just a mental list of games you don't see yourself playing in the near future.

As for me, I keep my finished games at the bottom of my stack of games. I just know that I've gotten all the achievements for them and generally don't want to pick them up again.

PS: Oh, and what games do you have in your 'pile'? My 360 games would be - Lego: Indiana Jones; Kung Fu Panda; Lost: Via Domus; Fable 2; (a couple of online achievements to get, but pretty much there) and Fallout 3 (done everything in base game, but planning on buying DLC)

... My Pile contains all my games, new, old, completed and unfinished.
It likes to split, though. Right now the pile is in four different places.
I can only assume it is attempting to spread and conquer.
It never will, though.
I'm on to it.

I don't have a pile. I have my games on a bookshelf in alphabetical order.
I do though, have a pile. The games I didn't complete are the only games I'm playing right now. My pile is the opposite and the games--in the order I'm going to complete them and where I am at--are:
Lost Odyssey (360) Almost done. About an hour left.
Final Fantasy 9 (PS1)I'm halfway through disc 4, so it'll be over soon.
Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (GC)Just beat the Forest Temple.
Draconus: Cult of the Wyrm (DC) Stage 4
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (DC) Just defeated Kain for the first time.
Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen (PS1) No idea.
Sword of the Berserk (DC)Intro
Final Fantasy 8 (PS1) Intro
Two Worlds (360) I'm going to start over.
Hexen (PS1) Intro
Thief 4 (Xbox) Second level.
Bioshock (360) Intro.

Hrm...No, can't say that I do.

I usually go back to all of my games at one point or another.
This

I usually trade in the ones that I know I don't want, but if there's a chance I'll replay it, then it sticks around, and I usually do end up replaying it.

I have two piles, the Retirement Pile and the Never-Play-Again pile.

I use the Retirement pile for games such as my old PS2/PS1 games. I don't play them anymore but nostalgia and the fact that a certain game selling company gives you like $2 for most PS2 games helps the pile to stay where it is.

The Never-Play-Again pile is just for those games that I bought, beat, and hated. I normally take them all and trade them in when it comes time to buy a new game that I don't have the cash for.

I keep games if they're really good, classic, or if I spent a lot of time on them. For example, I keep Oblivion, Skate, Gears 1, etc... stuff like that.
If it's a random game that doesn't fit into my picky grouping, I trade it in when I'm done with it, because I don't expect to ever come back to that game.

The ony games I have put away in a pile never to be touched again are my old ps1+ ps2 games. I still keep all my xbox 360 games close to the console.

I don't have a pile, I usually go back to play old games once in a while and if I didn't like it I would trade it for another game.

You fool!
You have summoned it from the depths of the darkest Hells!

Flee while you still have legs!

It's Crysis. It's the only game I ever bought on impulse, and it blew.
Utterly and without abandon.
You intrigue me. I thought it was suppose to be a good game, please explain.

My pile of "spent" games does't last long, with current games been as over-priced as they are I just trade in to ensure I never pay full price

My pile is currently Over-G fighters, Test Drive Unlimited, Forza Motorsport 2, and Mirrors Edge. I may be trading them in soon.

My pile is mental. Alot of games populate it. Namely the ones that get hyped but then turn out to be rubbish.

Resi 5, Any Halo, Fable 2 and other games that were just rubbish in general.

It sucked.

Sorry, it's probably just personal preference.

I found the weapons boring (and generic,) the gameplay boring (and generic,) the powers underpowered (and boring,) and the environment boring (and leafy.)
There was just nothing fun about it.
Wait, would that be the critically acclaimed Crysis.

Although, they were the same critics who 'acclaimed' Far Cry 2.

Which was, incidentally, made by the makers of Crysis.

Hmm...

Huh. Me too.

As for my completed games, I keep them if I'm gonna play them again or trade them in if not.

Should I get the flamethrower or the plasma cannon this time?

OT: Yeah, where I put bad games that I hate.

I hate how out of touch adults give crap shovel ware wii games for presents. I have about 6 that I played during rainy days, and kept in the back of my collection. When I'm older I will make sure I get good games for friends otherwise ask them.

"Hmm, Douk just got a gold medal in the Science Fair, he deserves a reward! He must be smart, for getting gold, so I'll get him a game that takes a lot of brain power, I know! Imagine Babies!"

I have a literal pile, although it's more a stack, and when I entered this thread I assumed it would be about some hideous skin disorder... err... yes.

My "Pile" includes Mirror's Edge, Gears of War (1), Burnout Paradise (it and it's insideous updates have taken up 3 GB on my hard drive) Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Lost Planet, Smashball, Counter Strike: Source, Black and White 2, Spore, etc...

I don't trade in games till I amass a hefty collection.

I have the Special Shelf where all the well and truly finished games live. (Along with all the ones for the PS2 and Xbox that aren't backwards compatible.)

I have this because, although I should probably trade them in or hock them on ebay, I'm a terrible packrat who never gets rid of anything.

Games that I've never finished because I lost interest or otherwise didn't continue don't get to go on the Special Shelf.

Also, my definition of "finished" is a little weird, because previous gen games that are backwards compatible aren't "finished" unless I've done it on the PS3 or Xbox 360.
