I have a word doc to keep track of everything I finished and everything I'm planning to watch. Admittedly, most of the stuff I've seen in the last year or so wasn't on the list, and I haven't been updating it, so it's pretty outdated.

Used to, even had a list on myanimelist.net, but gave up on it after a week or so (this was about four years ago). It doesn't help that so many shows consider a new season to be a completely different series. I can pretty much remember all the shows I've watched as long as I'm given some parameters. Can't name all of them from nothing, that's futile.

I'm a hoarder, though. My files go all the way back.

EDIT: Actually, I may have chosen the wrong choice in the poll. I do have a txt file with all the upcoming shows I'll be following this season. Does that count?

Found this site a couple of weeks ago and I quite like the idea of having a list of the stuff you've seen. Especially for when people ask you for a good anime to watch.

Ya I use myanimelist.com, pretty helpful for keeping track of where I am in series when I stop watching for a while and for series I plan to watch in the future.

I used to have a list, but I stopped watching anime when everything started to seem identical and I was unable to find anything truly entertaining.
(Too many Gonzo anime series started out looking AWESOME, before they degenerated into **** about half way in and I felt like I had to force myself to watch the rest and see the ending.)

Does anyone have good suggestions though? I've really enjoyed some anime, too many of them just aren't very well written or drag on well past their time.

I did. Both to keep track of what I'd watched, and what I plan to watch.

Then I realized I don't really like anime, and I deleted that .txt document.

I don't keep anime lists but I do have a webcomic list. Although it is more because I don't have the memory to remember them all and their update schedules.

I used to keep a list, but since Canada got the whole bandwidth cap I switched over to devoting my time to manga and webcomics instead, since it doesn't require as much bandwidth.

I don't keep a list. I have a cabinet full of DVDs devoted to anime intsead. It's almost full.

If there's one I want to see, I just do some research on it, watch an episode or two, and then immediately buy the DVD if it sounds good. No list required and haven't kicked my self for buying anything I dislike yet. It is more expensive though.
