Maybe like, one song. I don't really appreciate it as a genre, since it's basically House music with WUB WUB WUB thrown in, but used almost the SAME WAY for every dubstep song I've heard.

No. It is talentless, cookie cutter music with no soul. Try this on for size:

Dubstep is one of my new favorite types of music... but it would appear due to its rather explosively huge surge in its popularity that many people hate cuz its over exposed... which I guess is to be expected... if all people hear is crap they'll think all dubstep is is crappy remixes, which it isn't... anyway, enough speculating... here's one of the first song's I fell in love with

I find some of it intriguing. Its loud and aggressive much like has already been cited sort of like the techno equivalent to metül. To me it feels sort of like a progression of what Reznor was trying to do before the downward spiral when he got too much notoriety and it adversely effected his music.

I remember a time when that ugly bass was refered to as a mistake, since it's what happens when you do something like overload an amp. It sounds like crap. I don't get why anyone enjoys this noise....

I'm certainly not the biggest fan of Dubstep, I just don't see the appeal. To me, Dubstep sounds so computerised, even for Electronic music, almost unmusical. But having said that, I really like the song Cockney Thug by Rusko, in fact, I can tolerate Rusko.

Nope, and I hate saying this about any type of music, it all sounds the damn same to me. Not to mention the sound of it just makes me want to say "Why're you being so obnoxious towards my ear drums?"

Some, like Nero, Magnetic Man, Katy B, they can fuck off for selling out the genre, but artists like Gemini, Skrillex, Trolley Snatcha and DatsiK are all brilliant musicians.

I can't really say I like it, it's more like this morbid fascination I have with it. Sometimes I can't help but listen to it while thinking "Why am I listening to this?!"

Not at all. WUBWUBWUBs REALLY make me not want to listen to music.

I do, however, enjoy one of the genres that was formed FROM Dubstep, which is glitchstep/hop. The lack of WUBs makes it INFINITELY more enjoyable.

Here's a sample. Enjoy it.

I like dubstep, but its something you either love or you hate. It's a hard genre to recommend to people and if they aren't into it you probably aren't going to change their mind.

There should be an option in the poll to express indifference because I don't mind dubstep. Its fun when you're at a show in the crowd and everyone is dancing and having a good time. I can't in all honesty say that I enjoy sitting at my computer and listening to dubstep. Basically every dubstep song goes like this quiet intro followed by " wub wub wub wubwubwub WUBWUB WUBWUBWUB WUB wub wub wub" then that is followed by the quieter outro.

Eh, I think its pretty creative, but not my taste. I enjoy old school punk rock and progressive rock. Here you go, it's a huge change in pace from this topic, but this song will put you in a trance =P

What I will say is that you need to listen to dubstep in a club, through a massive PA in order to really appreciate it.
But then you're more interested in the spectacle than in the music itself. ANYTHING blasted through sufficiently over the top speaker systems impresses in a certain way. If you need that situation in order to enjoy a tune, then the tune itself can't have much in the way of inherent value.

As it turns out, though, I actually quite liked that clip. Good pacing, with a much more subtle beat to it than most examples of the genre. If more of it was like that, it wouldn't be so controversial, methinks.
