Poll: Do you like Mark Zuckerberg?

There seems to be a lot of opinions on Mark Zuckerberg, especially with the release of The Social Network, and I was wondering what the Escapist community's thoughts were on him.

My personal opinion is that he is a good guy who angered a few people. In other words, yes I like him. (No, I do not buy into Eisenberg's portrayal of Zuckerberg. It's just a movie, but a goddamn good one at that!)

Any discussion is much appreciated. =)

My personal opinion is that he's fucking adorable. I'm pretty sure you don't make billions of dollars without ruffling some feathers, but I wouldn't turn down an invitation to lunch.

Buut, he did make Facebook, which I use to keep in contact with friends, so I guess he's pretty coo'.

I do not know Zuckerberg, so I can't really have an opinion. Just like I don't know any other celebrity that you can read about. Just like I don't know if those people on diet books who have an alarmy tendency to be fat are actual dietitians.

I do know that that's a damn fine movie and just as likely to be real in my world, and twice as likely to be relevant, than the truth. So I'm just going to call him an asshole and want to buy that movie, now that you've mentioned it.

It certainly was an interesting performance. One of my favourite lines is when Eisenberg says to the Winklevi, "If you guys were the inventors of Facebook, you'd have invented Facebook."

I don't like or dislike Mark Zuckerberg. He made Facebook and got rich while allowing people to get connected. I don't use Facebook anymore because it was sort of a waste of time for me and I didn't really have any friends. I voted for Meh because I just don't care.

The Social Network had the weird effect of making him look absolutely freaking awesome. That was artistic license at work, for sure. In reality, he comes across as being a complete asshole to me. He doesn't really have any respect for privacy either. Facebook is a good site, but that doesn't mean I have to like the creator.

and there's the logical answer, unless you know someone how can you have feelings about them. All I (and most of the world) know about the guy is what the media have said about it, so most peoples opinions are tainted by anothers bias

Agreed. The internet is ment to be the opposite of social. 2 teams of nerds bickering at eachother over CSS is all it's ment to be.
