I've found that I'm more likely to go to a thread if it has a poll, even if whatever the thread is talking about doesn't really interest me. Am I the only one who does this?

if the poll is important to the question, then yes, they can be useful, but when a serious question is asked, and a poll added just for "I like cookies: yes, no" then I quite despise them.

You've said enough to fill my answers too, thank you.

I agree with those sentiments, but do you end up going to those threads because there's a poll.

Nah, I only look at a thread if it interests me, a poll being on there doesn't matter to me at all. Sometimes I don't even vote.

some times i just vote in the poll and dont post. i like that polls allow me to state my opinion on the subject without posting something already said or make a 1-2 word post.

I agree with Aunel, I'm always so curious to see the poll results.

There should be a badge for voting in polls, because I have put my vote in SO many of them, I feel I deserve an award. Yes, in my world my opinion is that important.

I don't really mind if a poll is there or not.
