Poll: Do you like Reality TV?

Global is days away from launching a 24 hour reality television station across the dominion of Canada. It shall be called the Global Reality Channel [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Reality_Channel]. Creative, eh?

Anyway, in light of this news, I was wondering what your thoughts are on reality television. I personally enjoy Cake Boss [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Reality_Channel] every once in a while and I loved Making the Cut [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Making_The_Cut] and the first couple seasons of Last Comic Standing [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_comic_standing], but I can't remember liking any others. Et vous?

Also, does anyone remember The Joe Schmo Show [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Joe_Schmo_Show]? Does it count as reality TV? If so then I loved that one too.

There are very few that I like. Most of them just seem boring, with the contestants usually shouting at each other or bitching about whatever house/island/jungle they're stuck in. Seeing a bunch of people stuck in the same place for {X} amount of weeks is just boring to me.

I don't like any to the point of me following them. But I think most of them are fun enough to watch an episode of when you have nothing to do.

I do not. I find them either irritating or uninteresting. If I wanted to see normal people I'd hang out with friends.

Ironically reality TV tends to present us with total freakshows; which defeats the attraction of it when it really kicked off.

When Big Brother came out the first time it was new and sort of original but now it seams the same thing with the same steriotypes!

The same gose with most reality tv including singing/ talent shows!

That would be the irritating aspect I mentioned. if I wanted to be around freakshows...I'd go to a concert where they'd be in the dark and loud music drowns them out.

EDIT: Okay thats actually just how MTV does it my bad. (Y'know they do this instead of showing us a music video?)

It's called Project Runway. This is not a joke...

But in general, I don't like reality TV, and I hate all 'reality' TV on MTV.

I've found one that I like, Canada's Worst Driver, just because of how funny it is. ^_^

I like the odd one along the lines of Come Dine With Me or Coach Trip, and stuff like Andrew Lloyd Webber's various stuff or The X Factor if they count. Mostly though, I absolutely loathe them. Whoever had the idea for stuff like Big Brother or I'm A Celebrity... should be shot. After being made to live in their own shows first.

The ultimate torture. Sweet sweet revenge... ;D
