I'd wear jeans to a funeral, if I were the type of person that even believed in funerals. I absolutely despise dressing up, I feel like an incredible fake douchenozzle anytime I'm even wearing khakis, because that's just not me.

I wear a fairly informal version of a suit most of the time. It's mostly just a well tailored black blazer, a shirt, and if I'm at a raid, a tie. It's kind of weird for someone like me to wear a suit though, but oh well. They make me feel special and influential.

And I'm a guy who chooses not to wear clothes that attempt to point out that I think I'm better than everyone else. An everyman, if you will. To each his own. I will dress up on job interviews and the like; I don't take it so far as to shoot myself in the foot.

Sorry about the late reply, popped off to play a few rounds of TF2 (and finally got that damn Saxton Hale mask).

I have never been to a Fringe event or even Edinburgh Castle, but I've no idea why. I guess it's one of those things you mean to do, but keep putting off because it will be there later. I like some of the street performers that hang around during the Fringe, but mostly I just get a little annoyed with all the extra people.

Despite liking your hat and frequenting Steampunk forums, I don't actually like wearing hats or that style of dress on myself. It's interesting and I've spent a lot of time reading into it but my interest really dies when it comes to getting a suit of my own. I'd buy a pocketwatch though, clockwork is godly.

Also, please tell me that you had some sunglasses at the time that you took the picture of your friend with the hat? That would add to the already awesome image in my head.

Few things can help somebody feel Alpha Male like wearing a sit. We've been taught from a young age that person in a suit equals intelligence, prosperity, and respect.

True story: a friend and I used to "meet" at a local watering hole. We would both be dressed nicely in suits and be carrying briefcases. One would arrive first, then the other would join up about ten minutes later. We would sit, chat a bit while having a glass of wine, make a show of swapping briefcases and a large manila envelope, then leave. Got to be that people were watching us and rumor got around. Long story short, the cases were full of newspaper, but it was worth a laugh. Even the cops had a sense of humor, thankfully.

That is epic. What made you come up with that idea?

Back in my younger day, we used to do a lot of LARP, typically Vampire the Masquerade. (Live Action Role Play) And we found that people would watch us the most when suited up. Just something about it all seemed to attract attention. We had practice playing at other personas, so it really just came as second nature.

One day, we got bored, and it just came to me. Then we made it a weekly thing, meeting ever Friday afternoon. it just kind of took on a life of it's own for the next few months.

And it was a hoot trying to explain to the interrogators that we were making stuff up. We made up people with outlandish names, like Franky Thumbs, Jimmy the Fish, and Larry Screws. Seems we had attracted the attention of the police, and they were watching us at our "meetings" trying to figure out who we worked for.

Thankfully, it was my one and only brush with RICO.

You all are warming my heart with your suit-love. In case you had doubts let me confirm - men look damn good (i.e. hot) in a well-made suit that fits them perfectly. Besides looking physically beautiful, a suit makes you look so .... capable. Go forth gents, suit up!

(I also wear suits, especially for job interviews and I know well the feeling of power they give one)

I must say I look particularily snapping in a suit, so yes. Yes I do like to suit up.

Definitely. Love suiting up, I do it every single day during winter, summer lose the tie and jacket (I'm in Australia, wear a full suit in summer you will die) but still rock a good look.
Also, for everyone saying suits are uncomfortable, 1)you're wearing something that doesnt fit properly and 2) get a nice shirt! Rock a $300 shirt in a $150 suit and you look like a million bucks! Feels much more comfortable as well.

I love wearing the female version of a suit Being fancy makes people turn their heads and you feel all spiffy. However, gaming or animating in a suit is hard, which takes out my hobby and profession.
