Personally, I started to play the piano three years ago. I wish I could have started since I was 4 years old. Anyway, What instrument do you play my fellow escapists?

EDIT: I am including singing in the instrument category. Not shower singing, but the serious type of singing.

I am my own instrument, so yea i sing...ok i dabble in the piano every now and then but im definitely a better singer. Am i excluded in this?

Not at all... I bet singing requires as much skill as playing an instrument... Unless you mean "shower" singing. haha.

guitar/vocals...doesn't matter if it's acoustic/electric rock/metal...i can do any style with vocals, and enjoy playing guitar with it

Keyboard/piano and a tiny bit of guitar. Been playing the former on and off for six years, and picked up the latter very casually just one year ago. I'm much better at piano, but I often find myself playing things written for guitar.

guitar, piano, cello and ukulele. i a singer song writer. i started playing guitar first when i was like 12 and then got a keyboard and later a piano. then i started playing cello I'm still not that good at cello, but i am good enough to say i can play it. cello is by far the hardest instrument i have ever tried to play, but its so beautiful. ukulele is an instrument i just picked up recently but its similar enough to guitar that i have no problem playing it and i have already written a few songs on it.

I cello often, and I agree about it being so beautiful (I turned cello into a verb! Not sure if I'm allowed to do that or not...), also play the piano (just for fun).

And I whistle.

Ability level goes Cello > Whistling > Piano

Now where is DarthZew... He plays the cello as well!

I play Electric Bass and study Popular music and performance at uni.

I'm a bit of a style whore, as in, I'll play anything. However, I've been playing groove based stuff all year so I'm kinda itching for something a bit more straight ahead.

I also play a tiny bit of keyboard and I can use Reason 4 okayish.
