Edit: I may have come off like a bit of a twat there. I hate that guy, you know that guy, the guy who plays guitar at parties. The guy who thinks knowing "wonderwall" makes you a musician. The complete shithead who should really look in a mirror and realise he's not a seventeen year old at the beach with a load of pre-teen girls. That guy is a dick.

It's not just guys. There's a just as irritating female version of the species. Hee.

I play alto sax and have been playing for 8, almost 9 years.

I play guitar, and learning bass.

EVERY serious guitar player should at least know how to play bass as well.

I play the violin mostly anymore, though I'm trained for piano and viola and can do simple things with the cello. As long as you have a good ear string instruments are remarkably easy.
