I was invited to a Resistance 2 clan once, so I decided why not I'll give it a go. The first 40 seconds of bitchy kid screaming down a mike, and I was outta there.

Also I prefer to play with friends.

I'm in a couple clans atm. Joined them originally as a real life mate was in it from Planetside. That was a good 6 years ago, and I'm now on the Clan Council. We've played various stuff over the years competively from BF2 and CSS, to WoW and WAR. Huge range of games.

There name? Digital Legion (DL*)

Although no one else plays TF2 there, so I'm with the Cleveridiots as my TF2 clan :D

I was with a clan on the PC for CoD games it kinda fizzled out then I got into another one but after that I didn't have much time for games for a bit so i kinda fell out of multiplay and if you wanna include Guilds from say Guild Wars I have been loads but once again awhile ago I fell out of meta of GvG and never got back in.

Although I was never too high in competitive multiplayer in either usually around mid to low table.

Yes, I'm not a full time member of a clan anymore, but I regularly play with one. I also keep several in my friends list, it guarantees a large number of people who can play gamesproperly, abide by certain rules and are pretty much always pleased to see you join a game.

Provided the clan you're in maintains a reasonable presence (and reputation/behavior standard) it's quite handy. There's whole swathes of servers you can drop into and get on straight away as the people running it will know the tags, see that you're part of X, who are generally a good bunch, so most likely ok.

It's great in L4D/2, makes finding good lobbies dead easy.

I have personally always loved the idea of clans in multiplayer games. They add lots of new opportunities and can usually be quite fun. There is however, very few even worth considering. Most are started by a single person and are constantly striving for more members rather than for the enjoyment or improvement of the current members. It often becomes a contest between two that lack both skill and leadership on who gets the most members. When properly done however, it certainly can beat playing by yourself. That being said I haven't been one in a while due to the general lack of good clans around.

Although calling yourselves #1UK... Really? You'd consider yourself the best clan in the UK?
Yeah, the name's ridiculous.
I was in Vanguard1219's Brazen Guard clan. I left because the clan died and the members were being tossers.
Bugger, I saw the quote without a name and thought "Brazen Guard? I know that name... wasn't that Prophet's old clan?" >.<

Me and my friends 'clan up' to play demolition on Modern Warfare 2. Depending on how we feel, we're either the 'Hurr Durr clan'(each member having a variation such as Lurr or Zurr or Burr) or the Daka clan. I never play demolition without them, but I will play Team Deathmatch by myself. We've only had one proper 'clan match' against some Canadians. We beat them 3-0 before they rage quit in the fourth match.

We're not a serious, MLG uber gamer clan or anything. We just play public games together when we're all on. We do kick some ass though, as we all have seperate roles and organise our killstreaks to our advantage. For example, I'll have Counter UAV, Predator Missile and Harrier Strike whereas my friend will have UAV, Care Package and Sentry Gun. It works out so we have pretty much all bases covered on killstreaks; Passive Offensive and Defensive. Man, we have a lot of time on our hands.

No, we're not. It's just a number and a place name.

i havnt been in a "clan" for 2 or 3 years. Joined a competitive team, and never looked back on the pub community, more fun to play with people who want to win(and more than that, Know how to play the game) than chickens with their heads cut off.

Yeah, me and several friends started a MW2 clan [ICEd] it has over six people (AMAZING!) so we usually have a full team when we want to play or a good sized Michael Myers game.

So what does the #1 mean? The first? The best? The only?

Nothing really, just to set us apart from [01UK]. Plus, it's also just a name? Does it really matter? :S

Currently in my third clan -{GAG}-.

Generally play on my own, unless my buds are up for some ownage, in which case we're the [IWF] or [SFSP]. Never lost a match yet! Lose all the time when playing solo!

I guess Im in many. I was part of a Call of Duty clan called SM (Stay Modest). But I quit because of multiple reason (remembering not so good memories). But then I founded a clan with one of my "CoD Homies" (AKA a friend) called MPFC (Monty Pythons Flying Circus). My friend talked to his uncle and we'll be getting COD2 servers on PC once school ends. So then I'll be able to mange the server. We have a few people in my clan. But most of them are my personal friends. Only 4 are people I have no clue who they are.

P.S. Does any one know of a free website provider that gives you a free forum and banning system? I really need a website banning system. Freewebs (AKA "Webs" due to a name change) only allows me to remove the person in which they can get back on with a different name and e-mail which is a total screw up.
