This is self-explanatory.

Do you put effort in most of your posts? If you do/don't, why.

I ask this because sometimes I see people with ridiculously high post counts and wonder if they tried with all those posts, or just post random shit.

Yes.
I don't feel the need to post in every thread I go to, I usually just read other posts unless I have a strong opinion on the topic.

I'd say I do put effort into my posts, especially when i think back to all the times i've been about to post but then decided against it because i thought my post wouldn't add anything and would overall be pointless.

Yes that's why I post so little, If I can't put my thoughts into words (Something I really can not do 90% of the time) the way they are in my head I just dont bother, my thoughts make much less sense when they aren't exactly the way they are in my head.

Just started going to the forums. I have been following Zero Punctuation/The Escapist for a long while now. So I would have to say I do put some effort into what I am posting. Don't want to look like I am spaming for postcount.

I really try to strike a delicate balance with my posts. A balance of sincerity and lulz.

This is actually quite difficult to achieve at times and can delay my responses by a few minutes while I stir my mind to find a way to both make people think and laugh at the same time.

When I am not mucking around in Forum Games and posting in serious topics, I do put thought and care into my posts, often re-wording them half the time so they make more sense or going back to change a 'i' to 'I'.

I try to. I understand that's not the same as doing, though. A lot of times I just kinda browse through threads until I see something I want to jump into.

Yes - I like to put in some effort.

I tend to put some thought into my posts and not reply with extremely short ones.

Quite a bit, actually. Occasionally I'll just post a pointless answer in a random "favorite" thread (or something similar), but ordinarily, I like my posts to be well thought out and, if possible, witty and clever, because if you can't get respect on a video game discussion site, where can you?

I would like to think that I take time to respond in a decent manner when it is needed.
Which is for pretty much anything outside of Forum Games.
It's become a more conscious effort lately, as I like to think I can actually contribute in a positive manner to topics that aren't made for me to just babble away in.

70% of my posts are replies to my original post so I would have to, to back up my view and to reply to people that replied so they would either understand or at least stop arguing.

Unless it's a satire thread, I'll think about what I'm writing and try to substantiate my view.

I try to...

Whether I succeed or not could be argued since I'm usually dead tired by the time I get on the forums for the night...

I'd say I do. I think before I type, and if I have nothing to add to the conversation, I will generally leave it alone.

I give it my best shot. This is really the only forum I regularly participate in, so I like to make a decent effort. I also only respond to questions and discussions I'm interested in, which might be why my count is sooo tiny.
Good question by the way :D

I try to most of the time and think before I post something. Thats why I dont post alot because the threads I make have been made already and why remake them?
