Poll: Do you read the license agreements that come with software?

Never. What? I don't have time to sit down and read their confusing shit novel length legal document. Nothing will happen to me. If it was something besides software then I would read it though obviously, for something important in real life.

Also, that South Park was absolute shit and one of the worst episodes of all time, this is coming from somebody who has seen every episode several times and loves the show.

For your information, I use an iMac, I use it because it's a good computer and does what I need it to (for personal and work use). Not all of the people that have an Apple product are pretentious douche bags who blindly love Apple.

The way you said it made is sound like you loved EVERY single episode before this since you watched them multiple times, but this one was the absolute worst. Besides, I was only kidding, no need to get pissed off.

I don't see why you hated it though, I mean it wasn't the best episode, but it had plenty of the ridiculous literal representations of their viewpoints, which is my favorite part of the show. (like "so you can put all your shit on the iPad!")

But yeah, I get all that, it definitely had some interesting stuff, I just felt it could've been better and that something was missing.

I have to admit though, the "I'm sorry Kyle!" thing made me laugh, with the Cuttlefish xD Just because of it's absolute gross out factor. So yeah, it still gave me a laugh and the show is still better than crap like Family Guy still.

Nope. I don't intend on following them, I don't agree to them, and I sure as hell don't like them, so I ain't gonna waste my time reading them.


I will use the software I paid good money for though, and I will use it as I see fit. I paid good god damn money for one copy of the software, I am not about to give up any of my rights because some douchebag lawyer put some legalese in the installer.

I skim through it, I skip areas that don't apply to me(ex. children under 13 etc.), and pay close attention to areas I care about(privacy policy).

EDIT: Best part of the south park ep was the line: I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!

I don't always read them, but I do read them often; I often skip things like the GPL and that agreement Valve has for every single game on steam, but that's because I've read them so many times that I can quote parts verbatim, especially of the GPL. I like to know what ridiculous things I'm agreeing to, even if I don't think that the contract holds up legally.

from what i understand they word it in a way that you would need a university level understanding of law to FULLY understand what you are agreing to and the only reason they do that is to cover them selfs (legally) by saying that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms, it is a very bullshit system but what are you going to do

I tried to read those little agreement pamphlets that come with console games and the phone book-long wall of text for online games, but I could only get maybe a couple of paragraphs before saying Screw It and going on to play the game.

Don't copy this material? Don't worry, I probably won't like it enough to bother. Don't alter this product? Not a problem because I wouldn't know how, aside from downloading mod packs for PC games. Don't sell this material and claim it was your own? That may be a bit trickier if I like a particular idea to work into a story, but what isn't being rehashed these days?
