Like a little girl, which is incredibly jarring considering that I'm pretty tall, broad-shouldered and masculine.

Which made for a funny point once, when some guy in one of my classes pointed it out at which point I punched him in the shoulder. He started to scream like a little girl, to which I say that the difference is that while I indeed do scream like a Catholic schoolgirl, at least I can beat him up and make him scream like one too.

Closest thing to screaming I've came to when surprised was when I was getting a textbook to read at school, and a huge roach was under the one I picked up. I yelled quite loudly "HOLY SHIT" and dropped the textbook. It was kind of funny.

I hate bugs.

No. My reaction to fear and to being startled is to widen my eyes, and that's it. If people run and jump out of bushes to scare me, I even keep walking but my eyes widen. For a while people thought I just couldn't be scared: then I told them that every time they did that I almost shat myself and died inside, it just doesn't look like it.

I clicked on this topic just when a friend PM'd me this pleasant little gem [http://shimmie.katawa-shoujo.com/image/1775.png]. YOU'RE WELCOME

So no, no I do not scream when scared, startled, or surprised. I will admit that I jump, though.

I can't scream. As in, I cannot produce a sound high-pitched enough to count as a scream. I rathar let out a rather deep and guttural growl - or something - that has been described by various people as sounding rather... inhuman. Oh well. (I don't do it when scared/surprised, I do it when something hurts me)

IRL I don't, I usually just step back back (or jump) and have a suprised look on my face.

When I am playing games it's different, I started screaming like a little girl when an elite with a sword almost ruined my flawless cowboy on halo reach.

The momment that scared me the most in gaming was in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat, it was 2 AM IRL and 11PM in game (at this time you can't see a thing outdoors), an emission starts and I need to find cover, I see a small cave and run to it, once I step inside I hear a growl and a scary voice telling me to walk away while I had the chance.

I screamed, I jumped back, my left hand pressed random buttons on the key board while trying to look for the pause button, and my right hand sent my mouse flying, after that I was so to scared to continue so I turned on all the lights in 1st floor, and sat on the couch hugging a pillow... good times.

No, I do not scream when I am startled. I take a couple of seconds to recover and continue on with what I'm doing. Weird enough, when it comes to people who startle me, not video games or movies, I have to hold back from punching them in the face. Wouldn't want to hurt anyone and cause trouble.

Very rarely, and even than It's more like a growl. Like "AAH" in a very inhuman way. I can't scream. Sometimes I punch the thing/person to.

Funny thing is, that combined with the jumping usually scares the person scaring me more than me.

No, but if Im really surprised and frightened by something I still manage to look like an idiot leaping a few metres backwards. Especially if there is something behind me too big for me to leap.

Only when something is about to fall, when I am actually scared, never. A pencil is 0.2 millimetres from the edge of the desk? Scream. On a Huge roller-coaster for the first time? Strike casual conversation with the friend next to me while I watch their confusion...

It's more of a yell, really. It's like a "Neeaaaahhhh!!" Than a "eeeeeeeeeeee."

(this is one of my most intellectually intensive posts to date)

I don't scream, but I know I do yelp, squeal, squeak, whine, and apparently sound like a small puppy, according to my friends, all who take great enjoyment in doing that 'jab in the sides' thing for a laugh.

I don't scream. I will jump and possibly yelp but not scream. More likely I will just say something like "Jesus". Especially if it's a big spider.

The only times you should ever scream.

1: You've just stood on a plug (especially a British plug, those 3 pronged bastards).

2: Some twat just knocked over your pint.

3: When Skyrim is in your hands.

4: Your biscuit just broke off in your cup of tea.

Any other situation is unforgivable.
A plug? that's baby stuff, my feet seem to have installed some sort of magnet that attracts pointy objects, I've suffered puncture wounds from everything from toothpicks to screwdrivers.

anyways, on the topic at hand, I don't scream when scared, I've never found screaming to be at all useful so I guess my instincts leave it out of my standard reaction package.
