Poll: Do you speak to your animals?

No, I don't mean basic commands like "Sit" or some Dr.Dolittle crap, I mean do you really talk to your pets about stuff?
For me, yes. Hell, I talk to Deaf animals even.
I can't help just going "Wazzup, *type of animal*?" when I see them.

Your cat made some very accurate points in that debate, but I felt that you had the superior philosophical argument.

OP: Yes I do, it's either me telling them how cute they are being ("Aww, she sits like a person!") or telling them how stupid they are ("STOP PULLING ON THE LEASH YOU IDIOT!").

This. And I also have 'normal' conversations with my cat, I don't discuss sartre with it more of a general conversation.

My dog has tunnel vision and null senses when there is a ball in the room...there's really no point in say anything to her most of the time.

I don't have conversations with my cat, no, but I do talk to him. I come from work and say, "Hey, baby! What're you doin'? You look so grrrrrumpy~!"

I have however trained him to meow once when I ask him if he wants a treat. It's adorable.
