Poll: Do you still play a shooter's campaign?

Campaign, that is the only reason I play most shooters.
Why?

Counter Strike,
Battlefield 2,
Day of Defeat: Source,

These games have already been made, nothing released since has had multiplayer good enough to tempt me away for any length of time. Modern Warfare 1 came close, but 2 and Blops blew it. So if the campaign sucks the chances are I'll be finished with a new shooter inside a week, Halo Reach barely lasted a day longer even with the multi player.

Always play the campaign first. It's training for multiplayer. Sometimes I stick with the campaign because it's more enjoyable (Any Halo game,for example)

I generally play a few campaign missions then I'll go into multiplayer.

I always finish the Campaign then head onto Multiplayer. It's practically preparing you for it so I'll take all the help I can get.

Campaign. To paraphrase: A good game has to stand on singleplayer alone.
Some shooters I'll give the multiplayer a go, I even enjoy some multiplayer-shooters like Team Fortress 2 and Quake Live. But normally if I buy a game at full price with my limited economy, I expect the single-player to hold up on it's own.

In all my games I always play the single player. Thats what I am more interested in. Multiplayer for me is more like a bonus.

Yes. In my opinion they put far more effort into the single player campaigns, especially in the Call of Duty series, which is a shame as most people play it once, some don't even finish it, and some don't even play it at all.

Hell, I'm playing through Zeno Clash (for the first time) now, but then again it's singleplayer only... Whatever. It kicks ass, that's all I need to know.

Now it needs a deathmatch multiplayer feature...

I only play the campaign. Multiplayer doesn't appeal to me unless I'm playing with friends and those friends are all in the same room with me, which is a rare set of circumstances.

Always play the single player, rarely play the multiplayer. I would lov it if they offered a half price version of shooters with just the single player campaign and no multiplayer.

DOOM Had multiplayer? I only ever played single player. Then again I was like 8.

But yeah I play Campaigns. I like going it solo sometimes. More atmosphere.

Usually just the campaign. I get games like Call of Duty with the intention of playing the multiplayer, and then I just never do, because I'd rather just play something else that's single player.

I love the Call of Duty single player campaigns. Always play them first.

The set pieces are so fucking epic. I don't understand why people hate the campaigns and just play the online shiz...
Especially BlOps. Sure the pacing is a bit crap but the prison breakout and everything else (don't want to spoil it in case anyone decides they DO want to play it) is awesome.

I usually never play the multiplayer of any game unless it's interesting, and shooters are rarely ever interesting. If every shooter game in the world suddenly lost the ability to let you play online with other people, I would consider the world a better place.

Intresting like assassin's creed brotherhood, which the multiplayer is everything that really matters of the game
