So fellow Escapists, Minecraft is now officially a 'game,' but I'd like to know, who actually plays the game anymore, and how much? Do you still love the game since after first you laid out your first block out, and play the game every day? Or do you find that these days you aren't on it as much as you used to? Maybe you have barely any time for it anymore, and only play it when the updates come out, or only in the holidays? Or lastly, have you finally quit playing it, and don't care about Abandoned Mineshafts, creepers, potions, giant mushrooms, Endermen and the game at all?

PS. The 'Sometimes' option also counts if you barely ever play it anymore. For example, I only play nowadays when a update comes out and I wanna check it out. And if you originally never played it a lot, you could still answer with 'option 2' if you wanted too. 'Option 2' doesn't necessarily mean your interest has waned. ONLY answer with 'option 4' if you NEVER play it anymore, or only when your friend wants to show you something.

My love for the game has waned since i played it for the first time.

I think back and it was way back in alpha, and gosh i had a lot of fun when i first started playing it. I don't play as much as i used to now, only every few days. For me theres just a bit too much now, the simplicity of the game has deteriorated a bit.

I need to find a multiplayer server I like, because I've become bored with single player.

Except for my survival-horror world- that's still fun.

I stopped playing once my computer crashed, and my epic lands filled with castles, giant cave-fortresses, and enormous subterranean tunnels all got deleted.

Also Skyrim.

I stopped playing because the server I played on went down. I have tried other servers but on that server we all got along so well. There was no gap between admin and normal members and we had a massive city. I played at least 2 hours every day on that server normally 8+ on weekends.

Wow, more people never play it anymore then I originally thought. I'd like to see how this poll turns out when there is HEAPS of votes. (if that happens, which I hope. I would like to finally decide on whether the general public are getting as bored of Minecraft as I am)

I did burn out on Minecraft early on this year, as I do with most games, but revisited it with a new world last week. There's just enough that's different now for it all to feel new again and the last week has seen a lot of time spent on a nine level complex that offers me limitless ways to expand it.

Will I get bored with it again? Certainly, but I do that with all games. For the last week at least I've played it at least as much as I did last year in alpha.

Stopped playing it months ago. Tried to get back into it, but I think I'm just done with Minecraft. Good game, but I've had more than my fill of it.

I didn't play it as much as I did when I first got it, but after the adventure update I don't even want to play it. The world just looks to plain, I liked it before when you didn't know what crazy landscape would appear next and it didn't take 20 minutes of walking. Not to mention I also lost half my main save, I should of backed up more often.

I went with it sucked in the first place only because it was the closest thing to my actual answer.

I've actually never played Minecraft. Probably never will either. I've read a lot about it and it's design sure, but that's actually why I don't want to play it. Not my bag. Not something that interests me in the slightest.

Very rarely these days, I loved the survival aspect but when you were established I never had the imagination to build anything good, so I was bound to get bored of it quickly.

Ummm, you should add another poll option, for people like me - that is, people who haven't played it yet for whatever reason, but intend to soon. I fit that group because my laptop died and I have to use the family PC now (and my dad hates me downloading anything unless he ratifies it first, because he's paranoid about computers - he thought Steam was a virus and uninstalled it without even asking me first :p), but I intend to get Minecraft as soon as I get a new laptop (waiting for the January sales though xD).
