Now, I have recently found out that I am not the only person who does this. The act of story pacing is making your own story up when you get a good idea for one and you speak things out like reading a book out loud, except you think of whats going on in your mind and you speak your characters lines out loud. I found out that this person likes to pace while doing this like me. Anyway, I was wondering how many other people do it so I am making this thread. Also, if you don't mind sharing your stories main plot and the characters personality it would be cool. I rather not say too much in fear of being judged but I will say this. It has to do with dimension hopping and a war.

Well I don't exactly do this but when I am alone playing games sometimes I speak my thoughts for example if I was alone playing Killing Floor I might be say "Ok now headshot the Fleshpound try not to enrage it oh shit shit shit shit shit shit run run run run run run ok ok ok I'm alive now lets try headshot this Scrake and try not to enrage it oh shit shit shit shit run run run run ok I'm alright". I think I see a patern forming here:p.

Before the end of Avatar: the last airbender, I was working on a story where Aang meets a group of airbenders that were hiding in seclusion. The main plot was that 2 of the airbenders were going to turn in Aang to the fire nation for 'abandoning' them. But the rest were happy to have him return (mainly to restore balance they were still very cold towards him). Long story short Aang and the gang save the day in time and Aang can return back to the hidden temple after balance is restored.

Then I had one about the diplomacy and politics of the Fire War (as I call it) ending. And Zuco (sue me, I do not spell names that well) finds his mother, who remarried and had 2 more children. Still working on the details of that one.

recently i do it with Men Of War, i note the squads names as i send them out with their orders, it maks watching them killed by a M5 shell all the more painful. oh Karl, why?

Oh, good, I'm not alone in this. I do this all the time, really, especially while I'm not busy at work. I think it's a good way to pass the time.

I asked my father "What's for dinner?" as I walked over to the computer. "Nothing much, I might order pizza" he replied cheerfully. << Is that what your talking about? cause I do that. or is this what your saying: I ran full speed down the line towards the army "This is not your day!" I shouted and immediately my eyes burst into flames and I leap in the air and call down a devastating fire storm upon the encroaching forces. << I do that as well but only when I'm bored, alone, and I also act it out :p

Yeah.
I'll go through scenarios and stories and situations in my head, and pace back and forth, acting it out, mouthing words, everything, with headphones on.
Not with them off, cause then I have a nasty habit of speaking aloud.
WHen I don't get to for a few days (if I'm too busy, or somewhere that's not my room), I get kinds tetchy and stressed. *shrugs*

It took me nearly 7 months to pluck up the balls to tell a counselor that, then I find that the Internet already understands! <3

I knew I couldn't be the only person that does that. Nice to have my suspicions confirmed though.
