Some of you who live in Europe might know of this but I'll explain anyway. Greece is in trouble of defaulting on its debt and this could spell trouble for the economy in Europe and the US. If Greece were to default, it would set off a chain reaction. Investors would get scared and pull out their money from countries that are also at risk of defaulting such as Italy and Spain. This would be very bad for the European economy which would also affect the US economy.

So, do you think Greece will default? How do you Europeans on this forum feel about such a risk?

On one hand, this is terrible news for the worlds economy, and definitely a problem that needs to be resolved ASAP.

On the other hand, I can't help but feel a little happy that those Europeans trashing on the US economy are finally realizing just how shitty their system is too.

This is one of the many reasons why I find concepts such as "globalism" and "multi-culturalism" to be detrimental to each society on the face of this earth.

Too much co-dependence means that when one country fucks-up, many more run the risk of falling with it.

Frankly, I'd prefer a situation where Greece could pretty much be left in the economic mess that it has created for itself and not drag a bunch of other countries with it.

The European Union is a pretty silly concept. In fact the only form of viable union I'd be willing to support would be a Scandinavian Union, since the scandinavian countries have way more things in common with eachother along with many years of good standing relations with eachother.

So here's to a scandinavian secession from the European Union (although I doubt it will happen, but a man can hope).
