Some little thing I have been wondering about: Do you use the preview button before posting?

I almost always tend to preview my post. Because:
a) It's easier to reread
b) I can see if the quoted posted are properly shown

If it has quotes or images, yes.

In a short post like this that's just text? No.

I usually do it if I posted something long or used a command of some kind. Like if I put in a youtube video I'll be sure to preview it to make sure. If I only do a small line of text like this then I won't preview it since it's rather pointless for a post of this length.

Not really, unless I've done some HTML formatting / object embedding that I need to check. It's a great tool.

Yeah I always use preview. It helps me spell check easier for some reason. At any rate I think it is a very welcomed feature. Also it shows me if what I want to be shown is actually shown, like spoilers, quotes and what not

I do if I'm using any tags like spoilers, quote, images or italics. If I've written a really long post I might do just to check none of the paragraphs run on too long because it can be a bit hard to tell with the little box. That said, I don't usually write stuff that long because I'm lazy.

Same here.
ESPECIALLY if I'm using a spoiler box because if you mess that up and release the ending to the newest movie or game, oh boy.

If it's a short post such as this, then no. If I am starting a new thread, posting an image or spoiler, or quoting someone else, then yes.

Never do, but I probably should. I try to proofread before I post, because I have a bad habit of either forgetting to hit a key or missing the key I was going for by a country mile, but half the time I have to go back in and edit the post since I made some mistake that makes me seem like a complete tool.

Yes, especially when I use italics or bold, etc. If I have a video with my message, I like to see it to make sure I've done everything right.

Thankfully no, but I can imagine that would be pretty bad.
Not even for the backlash I would get from other people.
I'm very anti-spoiler to the point that even when people tell me to go ahead and spoil something for them I still don't.
So the idea that I would release some pretty heavy plot-details or whatnot just makes me want to cry in a corner.

Almost always. I tend to use quite a lot of different forum codes, so I tend to check to make sure I put them in right.

Doesn't stop me from messing up sometimes though.

Only if i use them pesky BB codes. Sometimes i get em wrong.

I do also catch some spelling / grammar mistakes when i do that, but i don't bother with that when i don't got some special codes in it. There is an edit button for that.

And just like that i pressed the post button without even entering the captcha. Now that does not work.

Captcha now is: play hookey. Did kinda try to do that didn't i

I use if if I have either a really long post (makes reading it easier) or if I use a lot of forum code, or, a final situation, if I'm embedding a YouTube video and want to snip to just part of it - I'm mostly making the timing on the fly, so I'd need to see it and adjust it few times.

Of course! How else am I to ensure that my post is absolutely perfect and contains no mistakes in order to satisfy my somewhat obsessive-compulsive mindset? Even if I think it's going to be a short post, I usually end up spewing a lot of words anyway, so it's on to the preview button.

I only sue it when I'm quoting someone, using spoiler tags, posting an image or youtube video. Just to make sure that I did it properly and didn't fuck it up which can happen quite often.
