Poll: Do you wear glasses?

I wear mine all the time, but my eyesight isn't actually too terrible. Sure, its rather difficult to read anything at any distance without them, but i can still make it through a day without. I weara them all the time because I keep losing them otherwise.

Yep. I'm pretty much entirely blind without them, so I need to wear them all the time. I recently started trying out contacts, which are great for gigs, or going out, but whenever I need to read something or use a screen they're useless and I have to switch back to glasses.

I've never understood why so many people hate wearing glasses when they're trying to look good. I think glasses are pretty sexy >

I used to wear glasses. My sight is terrible without them, but eventually I got sick of them and decided to switch over to contacts. They make everything so much better. Especially sports. It is a pain in the ass trying to play basketball or go snowboarding with glasses on. I never had an issue touching my eye so the transition was pretty simple!

I am ridiculously near sighted. Can barely see anything without them. Even for the computer as even that's too far for me to see the text on screen. Or make out shapes.

Yes, everything is a blurry haze without them.

Blind as a bat. I suffer from nearsightedness and astigmatism (sp?). Everyhthings extremely blurry from a distance. I cannot operate a car so I guess you could say, in a way, I'm blind.

i've needed to wear glasses all the time since i was 8, at first i just couldn't see the chalk board, now i cant see within a foot without my glasses, everything get super blurry. im legally blind without my glasses now. stupid genetics.


also, it really REALLY sucks going to beaches now because i actually get lost, since the waves kinda carry you away from where your stuff is or the people you were with. not cool

Luckily, I inherited great vision from my dad; I had 20/10 in both eyes during an eye exam a few years ago.

Unfortunately, my dad has had to get reading glasses recently, so that's going to suck.

My eyesight is fine so I don't need to wear them, it's just slightly crisper I guess is the best way I can explain it. However my eyes are awful in another way, I need sunglasses because to put it simply I can do the eye exam with no drops. My eyes just kinda don't care if there's a spotlight blasting at them, they don't dilate they just hurt, might explain why the 3DS hurts my eyes bad after just 5 seconds of viewing.

and rather surprised that there's so few people here that wear them. They're awesome. Get soft ones, you'll be used to them in no time at all and it just feels so free without those glasses on your face.

I wear glasses. Have been since I was about five or so. It's not that I can't see, it's just that one eye is weaker than the other and I get cross-eyed when I try to focus. I wear glasses so that they do the focussing for me.

No idea how it works, it just does.

No I've got pretty good eyesight, but I do have to wear sunglasses when I go outside even on cloudy days or I get very painful headaches.

I wear them all the time, but I can cope without them (as long as I don't have to read long distances) but I tend to wear them all of the time as, the analysers I use in the laboratory I work at use touchscreens in order to operate them, and I use a computer quite a lot and if I don't wear my glasses I tend to get eye strain and headaches after a while.

Don't need them as of yet, though there is a history of eye problems with older people in my family so I may well have to wear them when I get into my 30s. For now though im good, I sit at 20/20 vision.

Yeah, I wear glasses. I wore contacts until I was 26 or so with no problem, then my eyes decided to totally reject them and get super dry. Right around the time I moved to Texas, wonder if that has anything to do with it.

No I don't wear glasses but close. My sight is just good enough to not need glasses.

I have to wear glasses if I want to be out in public since everything gets blurry.

I take them off when I'm reading something, on the computer, or playing a game on a handheld. So at the moment I'm not wearing them, but the downside is there are times where I will have a slight panic attack when I can't find them. Then I feel stupid when I realize they are either right next to me or on my head. >.>

Yeah I have glasses and pretty poor eye site. Anyone else laugh at the I'm blind option?
