i tend to play enything but the warrior class in RPG's, i tend to veer towards paladins or healers and in some cases, bowgunners i just find most warrior playstyles boring and repetitive.

Tanking can be satisfying...
Just, in my experience, not as satisfying as gently slipping the knife in the enemy's spine, or popping their skull with a well placed bullet before they've even spotted you.

I guess I just got driven out of the "One-man Army" style of warrioring after being killed in the original Operation Flashpoint. A lot.

Tanks can't hide - and hiding is a very efficient way of mantaining a healthy "kills-to-not-being-shot-at" ratio.
Tanks are no longer viable.

Would I play Tanks in a pre-firearms setting? Sure.
But even then, i'd feel the alluring tug towards archery/crossbows, whether I liked it or not.

Dragon Age 1-2? I've only ever played Rogue. I think being all agile & stealthy with a set of gear to get through any trouble makes me feel a bit like Batman. >;3 Or a ninja. Interchangeable.

Heh..I'll bet. x3

I believe pre-firearms is kindof implied though. ;p

99.9% of the time I play the Warrior/Tank whether in an MMO or in a video game. I just like it more, knowing i can get in a hairy situation and my healt will save me from dying most of the time, also I tend to like heavy armor more because it always looks better then the other types of armor. Though I prefer the palidan type warrior/Tank with just a little bit of spells and healing.

I tend to play stealth warrior types. Sneak up and unleash holy hell upon the enemy. This is largely because this is part of my own philosophy of combat to hit the fucker when he isn't looking with enough violence of action to dissuade prolonged combat.

I don't mind playing the warrior however I like playing other stuff as well. Stabbing stuff with a sword never gets old.
