Probably not. His body wouldn`t really need one after seven years of not having one. I don`t think craving would be a factor in this because of the time period as well.
Agreed. The body would have learned that it didn't need nicotine as most smokers bodies believe. Because it survived without this dependency, one smokeless fellow.
Ergo, I have found a cure for smoking. Who wants to go first(question mark)
Erm, is your shift key broken(question mark)
Also, I have a nice hamme-- medical tool which can, ahem, forcefully induce comas. YOU can try first.

Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy wuzzy has no hair. Fuzzy wuzzy was a cigarette, Fuzzy wuzzy smoked his wallet into debt. Fuzzy wuzzy was a bum, Fuzzy wuzzy switched to rum.

I guess it depends on who they are...

Did the smoke because of the addiction or the social or mental satisfaction... or did they jsut smoke so they had something to do while they hung aorund outside checking out girls?

But he was in a Coma. he wasen't in a Cigarette.

OT: I think you may be confusd with a diffrent philosphical question and they wouldn't allow him to have a cigarette in the Hospital.

well, the nicotine is out of his system but if he never wanted to quit I suspect he would still feel it part of his natural schedule.

basically depends person to person but the nicotine craving will have gone.

The physical nicotine addiction would be long gone by then, but that's not all there is to a cigarette addiction. The mental part plays a very strong role as well. So while it won't be the first thing on his mind, I imagine it's quite possible he'll want a smoke after waking up.

It depends on how much of an addict he was. If a little bit to none he probably wont. If he was a heavy smoker (reading the OP he prolly was) He very well could but id have to say no since it takes a few weeks to kick a habbit and not years. (sometimes anyway it can take years to kick addictions)

I believe he'll probably need to learn to function again.

Waking up from a coma is nothing like the movies y'see.
Except the Kill Bill one that you're referring to?

It's been seven years - do cigarettes still exist in this crazy, mixed-up post-apocalyptic future? Maybe cigarettes are a form of currency, traded between gangs of psychotic motorcyclists armed with laser rays and flying magnetic robo-sharks? Or maybe they're still cigarettes. Hard to tell.

Probably, but in 7 years smoking will be illegal, except in the case of setting yourself on fire, which is now a popular activity with those crazy kids these days.
