Doesn't really have any impact for me. The topic is really what gets me to post. If I have an opinion on the topic, then I'll post. If I don't, then I'll sit back and just read the responses.
I'll check most new threads in the places I post, but what decides if I do post at all is if the OP can keep my interest. Some people just go on forever with a giant wall of text in the OP, just to ask something pointless like, "So cheese is good. 'miright?"
I don't really notice who the OP is, but the title usually has some influence over whether or not I click on the topic. If it's a topic about which I have something to say, interests me, or just makes me curious, I'll read it. Whether or not I post depends on what the opening post actually says.
If the first then it doesn't change anything, the second does. I will assume you mean the second. So, I voted for "Title and OP", although topic also makes its presence felt.
If the title catches my attention, I'll click on it. But, what seals the deal is the topic itself. If the OP is interesting enough, I'll comment. By OP, I mean the post, not the author. I never pay attention to that.
Those who said the title, what if it was about a sequel to your favourite game ever and the title was something like
sequal 2 (Game name badly spelt) OMG NOT fAke l0l!
Post count and title. If it's gone on enough to be two pages I generally don't go unless it's a really interesting subject. If it's three pages I just don't bother.
