I think he was just being a smartass, not a snob. It's well known by now that Dragon Age (the first one at least) was designed primarily as a PC game. Honestly, I still have trouble comprehending how it was even playable on consoles.sheah1 said:Do you really have to get snobbish about this? On the PC change your renderer to Direct X 11 and you can put on high. If you have DirectX 11 and a setup that is built for 11 you can set it to very high. Just mouse over it on the options screen and it will tell you all that.Grey_Focks said:Well, I've played both the 360 and PC demos, and I can safely say this. Both are awesome, but the PC version is more like a more fast-paced version of Origins, while the console version is just completely different, and just a lot more action-based. Even on medium settings (why can't we set it to high, dammit?!) it looked fantastic on my rather modest machine, but I honestly just preferred the control setup (and the ability to play from my couch and on a big-screen TV...) that the console version offered. I'll be getting it on 360 first, then maybe the ultimate edition on PC when it comes out.
Oh, and I saw the ps3 version today at a friends house, no noticeable difference between that and the 360 one.
I've seen shemale and strap on mods man... the horror... I think they use the same stuff but the controls for PC are optimised for a mouse and keyboard while the console versions were built to play with controllers, ability wheel and such like mass effect.scw55 said:PC as I think playing the mage would be alot more enjoyable with a mouse aiming. Also, I like to play the game pausing frequently so I can think what to do. The controls feel alot more natural for that on PC.
Also user custom content would be easier to apply on the PC version. You know, custom skins, fixing imperfections... changing the sexual orientation of a character *cough* anyway...
For me, PC.

that said though can anyone tell exactally what the differences are in regards to the console version being more action orientated? like do you induvidlly hit the button for each attack?
because to be honest hitting the heal button over and over hopinng not to die was not really my thing
Yes, unfortunately they have twisted the game so that the correct platform is now one with a controller.lithium.jelly said:I'm going to play it on the correct platform.

I'm not talking about things like full-fledged campaigns made by some guy adding to the story, while those are nice and all, the real thing is console commands to tweak the game to your liking, INI modding, new texture packs and even community bug fixes or restoring old content.poiumty said:This is stupid. Stop thinking that all PC games automatically come with a whole databse of mods that all work and add genuinely good content. I've barely modded any PC games in my whole gaming carreer. Mods are sort of a nice addition for SOME games, but not necessary.
The only game with modtools Bioware ever made were DA and Neverwinter Nights. ALL of the their games have mods. Not full stories or big additions, but tweaks and useful or interesting changes at the very least.P47R1CK said:No mod toolset this time
Exactly, you seeMisterShine said:I'm not talking about things like full-fledged campaigns made by some guy adding to the story, while those are nice and all, the real thing is console commands to tweak the game to your liking, INI modding, new texture packs and even community bug fixes or restoring old content.poiumty said:This is stupid. Well, yeah, that's what we PC gamers do.sheah1 said:Do you really have to get snobbish about this? Really?lithium.jelly said:I'm going to play it on the correct platform.
