i voted DA:2 becuase im more excited in the short term, and besides, i expect it to be wayyyy less buggy than skyrim, im even considering waiting quite a while after skyrim comes out to buy it to allow for bug fixes, when i normaly have games im looking forward too pre-owned.

DA2 is a must get for me.
Skyrim seems interesting, and a much needed improvement from Oblivion, so it might get a chance when Christmas comes around.

Witcher 2.. I would be rather excited if I had a gaming PC to play it on, since I don't believe it will get a ps3 release?

The Witcher 2...

Ha! Couldn't keep a straight face!

No, if forced into a choice, Skyrim. But I'll definitely be getting both that and DA2 on the first day.

dragon age 2 will probably be the better game, but I'll prefer the play style of skyrim.
I haven't finished the witcher, oblivion or dragon age, but oblivion was the one I enjoyed most.

as for what fantasy game I'm most excited about?

My thoughts exactly. Since DA2 and Skyrim's release dates are pretty far apart I don't have to choose!

Fucking console kiddies and their shitty taste in videogames.
Don't ban me mods, it was a sort of cynical joke, that only a 12 year old would feel offended by

The Witcher 2 all the way!
A voice of reason!
Thank god.

A tough one. Skyrim is out due to Bethesda's terrible performance with Oblivion. Witcher was a breath of fresh air when it came out and CD Projekt is looking to take the sequel in a great direction. But Bioware is Bioware, and I really dig the sword-staff they've got the protagonist wielding in all the trailers.

I'm going to have to give it to Bioware and Dragon Age 2, for brand loyalty (they have yet to disappoint), followed closely by Witcher 2, with Mass Effect 3 in third place.

Skyrim is on the "keep an eye on it" list, since Beth did do better with Fallout 3, and I like a lot of what I heard about the changes in Skyrim. However, Bioware games are a sure thing, so Skyrim just can't compare when it comes to pre-release hype, at least for me.

The Witcher, in my opinion, was better than Bioware has made in years.
Pretty much. It felt like a better Bioware game than anything Bioware's made since KotOR. The sequel has been my most anticipated game ever since playing the original, and even if it's only as good as it and not better, it still has a good shot at being my favorite game of the year.

The Witcher 2 will be the best game out of the 3. I'll f***ing buy you all a copy of all the games if it isn't, but I am 99% sure it will be the best of the 3, the most thrilling, the most engaging, the most innovative, with the best world, quests, characters and combat.

Seriously, just watch any interviews or gameplay. Even the graphics are better and this is a much smaller studio than either of the others.

If you're not excited for The Witcher 2 you really need to start paying attention to it right away.

It's like not being excited for Red Orchestra 2, which stands to be the best multiplayer shooter of 2011.

P.S.: Yes that is actually how a tank looks like inside the game.

I found DA:O lacking. Oblivion combat was the worst. Witcher for me was the most fun. More intriguing stories, better combat, and of course the sex was kinda fun - at least set it apart.

I am finding that rpgs are simply too much of a time investment for me these days so I have to be very picky. I am certainly interested in what these 3 games will bring to the table but for now, I think Witcher 2 is on top of my list.

Out of those three, I look most forward to Skyrim. It looks like the one that I'll have the most fun with.

Diablo 3 not on the poll? Out of the 3 skyrim will probably win. Because gameplay wise dragon age is way behind. Slowloading and moving travelmap with random encounter how i despise you. But i would say Divinity 2 and Risen beats all the prequels of those games, witcher only one being close to them.

The Witcher 2 and Skyrim are about equal for me, although I expect Skyrim to be more exciting and enchanting and The Witcher 2 to be more substantial.
I really like Bethesda's no-bullshit approach and ambition with this one. They don't just blow more shit up, make everything in an easy to produce and easy to consume comic-style, or bother you with melodramatic, adolescent characters on fanfiction level, but they make a serious fantasy setting, try to make it look fresh and overall a better game than before - not just better in regard to a certain market sector.
I've become very cynical about Bioware and their line of production. They make solid games, but their best days seem to be in the past. From now on, it's pleasing the rabid hordes of mainstream.

Easily Skyrim. I'm a sucker for Bethesda games, warts and all. They are far, far from technically perfect, but they still manage to be pretty damn fun, which is more than I can say from my experiences with Bioware.

Skyrim doesn't look like it's returning to the earlier RPG-heavy side of Bethesda, but I think that having a setting with a modicum of imagination and a dose of new engine will rectify the problems I had with Oblivion. I'll stick with Nethack when I'm in the mood for heavier RPG mechanics. Right now, having a mountainous barbarian wilderness where Nords wielding two axes go around slaying dragons by yelling at them sounds good to me.

Skyrim for sure. I plan on getting all 3, but Skyrim is by far the one I'm looking forward to the most, and I would choose it over the other 2 any day.

360, then when you do upgrade your comp you can get a pc copy cheap(er) and get all the bonus content that comes with the PC. That is my way.
This is kind of what I ended up doing for Oblivion. But which platform to play Skyrim on feels like the biggest choice I will make all year. I'm not, how you say... 'normal'.

I just have to pick Skyrim. For me, The Elder Scrolls series is like some kind of super-game. I just love them. Bethesda could release a shitty TES game and I would probably still have to buy it. The formula of open worlds, deep and mature settings (Oblivion less so), customizable and free-form class and experience system, the immersion of visceral first person action, and the fleshed out and interactive world space hit all the right buttons. See that apple? On that table? Pick it up, throw it across the room, then eat it. Don't forget to steal the plate it was on. OH, APPLE WAS POISONED LOL.

And The Elder Scrolls has the benefit of (to my knowledge) the most incredible modding tools and community there are.
