How is that a spoiler? Isn't that the main antagonist of the game? I'm still gathering my forces, but I'm pretty sure I first heard of who you speak right after the origin story, basically after Duncan sent me into the forest with Alistair and the other two to get the vials.
I dunno man, that was pretty suspenseful how That-Guy delivered that.
Tis true I clicked it expecting something completely different like my whole party turning on me (not that it matters, my guy is a tank).

No, but if I had known, I would have used this. Then ran to the mage's tower.

Nope. Such cheats I save for when Im done playing legitimatly and start looking for other ways to entertain myself. However until I get 1000g, I will be doing it all legit.

No I never used this. Also wouldn't this make the game much harder for a while at the start? You're level 25, the enemies are scaled, but you've got no decent equipment...

Okay, so maybe it isn't a spoiler to those who have played the game, but for those who haven't played the game, they may not know what "it" is. I didn't want to spoil it for them.

I never heard about this one. Heard about the gold and the tome one, but not this one.

But I would have to say, it does sound rather tedious, as some have said. How many times would you have to do this to get really high up in levels? It seems like a chore. But the time I finished the game I was level 20 anyway, and the early darkspawn aren't all that hard in any case.

After I played through a couple times, I used the tome glitch to rush through to the end, because I wanted to see the different endings. But the first couple of times I play, I always play legit.

Cheating makes a good game go too fast. I paid $60 for that game. I want it to last.

I used it for my second playthrough to max out my spells more fully, but it doesn't actually make the game easier (playing as a Mage second time through did that for me just fine). What it actually does is give you a whole lot more money to play with since higher level enemies carry more/better loot and you meet them earlier. Because at higher levels the amount of XP you need to advance further increases quite rapidly over level 20, if you use the exploit to boost yourself, say, 8 levels, by the end of the game the character will only be around 2 or 3 levels higher than if you didn't use the exploit.

Note for everyone rushing out to try this: the first patch fixed it, so it only works on v1.00.
I think.

By the time I found out about this glitch I had long passed that stage... and had no previous saves. A shame though, I'd never say no to free Xp.

No, I haven't used it. If I was going to do that, it would be simpler (and faster) to download some sort of trainer or editor and just give myself the XP. And maybe all the best weapons / armour too. Maybe a ton of gold as well.

It's your game, play it how you like. Personally, I find things like that just suck all the fun out of the game, but hey... it's your call.

I did to get my mage to 20 for the achivement.

I hate mages, boring to play.

Wlaking bomb+ Virulent walkign bomb= most of the game complete.

It isn't cheating, but I bought unbelievable amounts of elfroot and gave it all to the elf troops, level 25 in 3 minutes.

I never bothered with that glitch.
I did use the one where i keep buying Elfroot from the Dalish in large quantities (for a few silver) and then turn them in at my camp at those boxes for mass XP gains till i hit the level cap. Did this in a few of my playthroughs. Yet i hardly ever called upon help during the endgame

No but I did use the Sten super approval glitch.

What is it? He always disapproves and my gifts mean nothing to him. He's hurting my feelings.
