I have two questions one being what is the best warrior specialization? Secondly I noticed that occasionally when I attack an enemy sometimes nothing happens. My character does the attack animation but no numbers come up to indicate whether the attack missed or if it was resisted and this has happened when the enemy was stunned too so I know it isn't a parry or anything like that.

the best would be a combination of berserker/champion with templar/reaver. I'm currently doing a champion who will become a Reaver (sorry to piss off Leliana). Now that Return to Ostagar is fixed, I can have multiple classes. Woot!

I did Champion/Beserker, it worked well for a shield combo, but for two swords it wasn't so great. Though that could be because I didn't max those abilities.

Depends how you're playing.

Got lots of AoE from your mages covering the battlefield? 100% spell resist Templar laughs at those Infernos.

Soloing? Reaver has a very good self heal move, as well as increased damage and a slight AoE, Champion has an AoE knockback when you're in trouble.

General DPS? Berserker.

Group support and Crowd Control? Champion.

Best crowd control combination is a Champion/Templar with 100% spell resist, probably best survivability too.

Best damage dealer for Warrior would be Berserker/Reaver.

Hm..I'm rethinking becoming a Reaver. I just saw (http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Reaver) that they have no passive skills, the sustained skills have penalties, and the activated skills seem a little weak.

I wanted to be a reaver but I wanted to be good and friendly with my current team-mates. So I'm waiting until I can be a Berserker. After I get that, I'll probably get Templar for the mages.

I like using a Sword and Shield loadout, with Templar as the specialization. You kind of pwn everything while you don't receive any damage...

Champion, because when you befriend that idiot who calls himself a warrior - he is already a templar.

Beserker/Reaver and various potions hot-keyed for desperate times that came around rather frequently, that joint class is neigh on suicidal with threaten and some Reaver ability, unless you've some massive armor going on, and maybe a shield, and shield wall, but this specialisation build is meant for a two handed weapon swinging nut job.

If you're going with a two hander, then Berserker isn't really helping you much. It provides a static boost to damage on every attack and inflicts some unpleasant penalties. Since 2H Weapons have a very slow attack speed, the actual benefit is minimal. Berserk benefits Dual Wielders far more due to two fast weapons making the damage boost really count.

I just said champion to be boring.
I wanted to try Reaver, but I didn't want to lose Leliana. If I play through again I'll do it

you can unlock the specialization then load an old save and still have your specialization unlocked.. specialization unlocks seem to be tied to your gamertag/whatever PS3 has, rather then your individual saves.

Really? Is it the same for PC?
