I'm definitely buying it, if only for the sheer novelty of finally having
Duke Nukem Forever. I don't care if it turns out good (though it looks like it'll be fun; Gearbox is good at what they do).

I suppose 2K didnt help themselves out when they decided to release this the same year as Mortal Kombat. Now if you look at how far the industry has come as a whole and then how far back into immaturity we've gone this year...yeah...not good is it?
Immaturity? A couple of games you think are 'immature' aren't going to set an entire industry back if that's what you're thinking.
Yeah, the Duke's a sexist bastard, but that's the point. It's just a tongue-in-cheek representation of classic '80s hyper-masculine action heroes.
Nobody should be taking
Duke Nukem seriously in any regard. And
Mortal Kombat is similar in that it's a fighting game, so of course it's gonna be violent. (I think that's what you were referring to.)
Every industry has its over-the-top additions, and games should be no exception. Deal with it.
