Does anyone actually play those things?

I was watching Harry Potter 1 with my cousin (He's 5), and he said he wanted to play the games. I was confused, then his mother told me that there is a games option thing in the options area. That has got to have been the weakest game I have ever played. There is this one part where you have to find the wand that Harry gets. After messing around with it, it doesn't matter which ones you pick, it will ALWAYS be the same: first 2 are wrong, and the third one will be right. I picked the same box for all 3 chances and it will give me the same above result.

I am assuming that these things only exist on kids' movies, but they can't all be that bad. Has anyone who played the DVD menu games come across one that was any good?

do they have these games on Blu-ray? are they better?

Dude I actually played that when I first bought that DVD. I quickly found out it was stupid just like you said. That's really the only DVD game I played don't know if other DVD's do it.

Haven't played an 'official' one yet but we had to program a DVD menu movie quiz in university and it sounds that it was better and more complex programmed than the Potter game you're talking about here, though I always thought it sucked totally - until now ^^.
It's definitely possible to program varied results and only using a counter for 3 clicks is extremely lame and uninspired.

But on my sat receiver there was a Tetris game you could play with the remote-control. it was displayed on a transparent layer over the normal tv program which was very strange. though I enjoyed it for about 10 minutes :D
