Poll: EA or Activision?

Now, due to the EA hate thread there, I'm wondering, which one do you guys like more? EA or Activision? I prefer EA. If you think EA is bad, you should look at some of the stuff Activision has done.

Yeah, I always ge tthose two confused for some reason. Probabally because they're both right next to me, and Wolfenstein.

I always get confused between Blizzard and Sierra, probably because of their double consonants... the last time I bought a game from them was Diablo II and Half Life, so it doesn't matter much. Anyways, 3D Realms' publisher is 2K, and their owner is Take-Two. So Take-Two has some influence on 3D Realms, if only a bit.

So 3D Realms (developing-wise) just sucks then. Well that's slightly comforting. We did a nice job of derailing the thread, didn't we?

I gave up on Forever at the beginning of 2003, so no, I guess I didn't.

They've switched game engines more then 4 times.

EA is annoying as hell for how many games they've ruined (Hellgate ESPECIALLY...and people blame flagship...pshh) and Activision is owned by fucking Vivendi, so it ain't better.

Ahh god Hellgate. I remember the Alpha/Beta test. We all BEGGED them to push the release date back. "It's not done" we all cried, "It needs a bit more refinement. Classes just aren't balanced yet, you don't have the premium content ready"

SPLAT it came out on Halloween and was DOA. Hellgate was a FUN game too. It had some inventive weaponry and some decent gameplay, but it was just... it just lacked polish you know? Polish and refinement. The game had potential, really- maybe not as an MMO, but I so would've played it solo, or with online co-op.

Once again, I must conclude that neither of them are any better than eachother. They just want our money, and none of them care neither for the fans, nor good games, just the money they make.
